We've been taking our cats here for about twenty years. We started with good old Dr. Seiber, he was one of a kind. He once yanked two of my cat's rotten teeth right in front of us, no numbing or anything! The cat was a little shocked, but probably saved us $1,000. He has long retired. Over the last year or so they struggled a bit having consistent vets, but it seems we have turned a page. They now have two new great veterinarians on staff and they have kept Teagan at the front desk. It's always easy to take the cats here, simple parking, not a bunch of other animals around, friendly staff, etc. We love our neighborhood vet. read more

I have two new kitties that have upset stomachs and might have something more serious going on. I was told when I called that they only book new patients 3-4 weeks out. That's ludicrous. I asked "what kind of visit would I schedule for a pet a month from now? Do you need to bill me for a visit where nothing is needed before I can get the care my cats need?" She said yes. Then she said if I wanted to bring my cats at the same time I would need to make a 58 dollar deposit ahead of time for each. What a horrible way to run a practice, from reading reviews here and elsewhere it's clear they are focused on over-billing because they are in an affluent area. The 3-4 weeks thing is probably just to give people the impression they're exclusive or desirable. I'll happily drive farther away to seek more compassionate care for my sweet kittens. read more

This review is long overdue, but I just drove by and remembered how odd my experience was there. The service was fine, and my cat got what she needed, but the vet that I saw handled my cat inappropriately while I was in the room. He picked her up (while she was clearly stressed) and proceeded to hold her front and back legs together and imitate a shotgun? It was so rude and he clearly lacked professionalism. I have now switched to a loving professional vet who clearly cares about my cats care! read more

Dr. Sieber has been my family vet since I was little - my mother has worked for him as a vet tech off-and-on since she was a teenager! He is so nice and you can tell that he truly loves animals. I have memories playing with his dog, Blue, on Saturday mornings and giving him treats out of the barking cookie jar. He always makes sure to keep his establishment clean and definitely develops a personal relationship with clients. While I may have a biased opinion having grown up around that office, you can just tell he loves what he does. The office is decorated with old school creams and medication tins for horses and other farm animals, and feel free to stop by when they are closed to play with Arnie, the cat they adopted. He lives in the office and there is a feather in the mailbox so you can play with him in the window! Definitely recommended if you are looking for a vet. read more

My cat has recently been through a lot health-wise. We had two emergencies, and Hyde Park Veterinary Clinic was there for us for both. They were very attentive and loving to our cat. Dr. Ragazzo came up with a great care plan that made complete sense to me. When things took an unexpected turn and it was acknowledged that we were at the point of having the second emergency, Dr. McCready made a wonderful suggestion to us to have our cat hospitalized at Grady Veterinary Clinic (also HIGHLY recommended). Dr. McCready called Grady ahead of time to let them know we were on our way. She also made sure that we were sent there with all necessary records and x-rays. Dr. McCready personally called to check up on my cat, and when I returned the call, I spoke to Shawn who is the assistant manager and the sweetest ever. Shawn told me he had been thinking of my cat all weekend, and I cannot tell you how moving that was for me. Hyde Park Veterinary Clinic cares, that's for sure. I have been going to this vet for nearly 10 years but have been very unhappy since Dr. Sieber retired. There is no focus on the health and care of your pets, only on billing for every possible thing and insisting on excessive and unnecessary care. They try to hide behind the board of pharmacy by incorrectly citing our state board of pharmacy laws. I've been guilted and treated like I was seeking when I requested medication to keep my 8 pound geriatric dog comfortable instead of agreeing to the dog neurologist they were insisting I see a doggie neurologust for an MRI was bad. They refused tp examine and treat my dog's ear infection while he was being seen for something else, stating "that's just ear wax. It's normal for it to build up and need to be cleaned multiple times a day" and being told I had to schedule a separate visit to have if I wanted it examined further. Guess what, he was diagnosed with an ear infection! And now that they've incorrectly documented my dogs vaccinations and refused any refills for preventative heart worm medications for continuity of the medications unless I brought them in and paid for full well annual physical visits the week before Christmas. They even refused a refill to tide them over until after the holidays. I gave the practice plenty of tries under the new vets, but I'm now officially changing vets so our family dogs may receive safe and appropriate care. read more

The team here has delivered outstanding service and care to my mother, who suffers from blindness and is up in years. We are in process of moving her out of state and her much loved cat is also up in years with some health issues. They went out of their way to make a stressful situation for her, as easy as it could be. I wouldn't hesitate to entrust my pet's care to these folks. Thank you! read more

A letter I wrote: I wanted to inform you that I will not be bringing Lucy back to your clinic. I know I have been bringing her there for 5 years, but after the way I was lied to today I cannot bring her there again. I attempted to order a year supply of Revolution for Cats from 1-800-PETMEDS yesterday and received an email from them stating I needed to contact my vet for authorization. I called today and spoke with Lauren. She said that I actually cannot purchase Revolution from the website since the manufacturer only allows vets to sell it. I asked why it was being sold on the PETMED website and she said she didn't know how, but that they just can't. She then "kindly" said how they would match their price and either mail it to me for a cost (I was getting free shipping from PETMED) or I can come pick it up. Confused, I emailed 1-800-PETMEDS website and asked why this product was on their website when apparently the manufacturer doesn't allow vendors other than vets to sell this product. I received a phone call from them 5 minutes later from an equally confused customer service agent. She said they are like a normal pharmacy and cannot sell without a vet's authorization, but they sell this product all the time and they are certified by the FDA and EPA. She also told me that they had faxed my order to you with no answer, and then called to be told by Lauren they would not authorize it. She offered to have the pharmacist call again, which I agreed should happen. The pharmacist called and spoke with Lauren who said she wasn't going to authorize it because I said I was on my way to pick it up, which was not true. This ended by me having to cancel my order for my cat's medication since my vet's office would not approve of it. I do not appreciate being lied to. If Lauren had said, a little nicer I might add, that you don't authorize these orders because you want your animal's owners to purchase their medication from you, I would understand. That is not the answer I got, though. I was told by someone, who sounded like she had better things to do than talk to me, that 1-800-PETMEDS was a scam, but Hyde Park Vets would be helpful and match my price. Not only am I not coming to pick up the Revolution from Hyde Park Vets, but I am also no bringing Lucy back there. You are an amazing vet, which is why I kept coming after I moved away from Oakley, but things changed when you took a step back. The new "assistant", Lauren, is the grumpiest person I've ever met. If I called you for the first time, looking for a new vet, I would not come to you based on her tone of voice and lack of bedside manner. read more

These people are great!! They truly care about animals and giving their "people" the information needed to continue being good "pet parents" My dog had a rather sudden onset of ear pain and I called very close to closing time on a Saturday morning. I was told by the woman who answered the phone "Bring her on in, we don't want her to be uncomfortable for the rest of the weekend." The staff was so welcoming and friendly, and the vet was a very kind woman who took time to sit with me and explain my dog's ear anatomy and how to properly administer her medication in order to best benefit my pup. I left with a little education and a good feeling in my heart. My doggy is feeling much better too! read more

My puppy doctor is Dr. Ragazzo. She was super knowledgeable an very sweet. The receptionists in the office are also very adorable. Reasonable prices for all that was done to my pet! Highly recommended!! read more

Dr. Sieber is experienced, dedicated, and most importantly, compassionate.

We've been going to Dr. Sieber since 2003, and will never go anywhere else as long as we live near Cincinnati. We moved away from the city and tried a vet near our house, but did not receive the knowledgeable, quality care that we had become accustomed to with Dr. Sieber. Now, we gladly make the 45 minute drive with our dogs to Dr. Sieber's office for all their care. Dr. Sieber and his staff are warm and friendly, and truly care about each of their clients. I don't know what we'll do when Dr. Sieber finally decides to retire - our dogs have had happy, healthy lives under his care, and we'll never be able to thank him enough for everything he has done for us and our babies! read more
