Also poorly designed it's like a maze to get in and out through this grand entrance that really serves no purpose except I've heard people like cattle They did provide free bottles of water at the front desk, but no coffee for a bass. Well, Keyania the receptionist was really nice when she checked me in. Downside, there was only one elevator out of three working, the door handle to the hotel room was hard to open, and the sheets were itchy, though the fitted was softer. Thank goodness the HVAC unit was working. The next morning, a lot of people were waiting for the elevator. Again, only one elevator working. I believe the maintenance guy's name was Aldo. He kindly guided us to the service elevator and went with us down to the lobby. Awesome service. Thank you. With the hotel only having one elevator working, esp with a home hockey game going on in addition the the American Legion Auxiliary hosting a leadership training course today, it was a doozy trying to get to our rooms. The food was great during the seminar, and the service at the bar was great. Thank you. The final night there, I did go down to order dinner (supper), and ordered "rooted vegetable farrotto", but what I got wasn't was described on the menu because it was supposed to have butternut squash, sweet potatoes, parsnips, red onion, kale, and Italian faro, but there were peas and carrots, no kale or parsnips, and I wasn't sure if the other orange square was the squash or sweet potato in addition to the carrots. The waiter returned it for me and I ordered the roasted rooted vegetables, which was what I originally wanted, but saw the other dish listing faro and Parmesan. The other dish was way better because I could see all the ingredients listed. Thank you, Hyatt. The bed was hard on both nights. I was tossing and turning and could only stay on one side before my hip would hurt. Customer service and food were great/good, but overall stay was not. Sorry Hyatt. This is a big hotel in the perfect location, however, it was not my vibe! Although, I was provided free parking, The parking is not free even if you're a guest here, which is pathetic! The hotel has a cute vibe and a bar/ restaurant, along with a small coffee shop all on-site, which was awesome for Mn visitors so that we didn't have to go out unless we wanted to. The bar gets really crowded and has a nice socializing atmosphere. The staff were all very nice! The poor front desk lady was by herself checking humans in, and she mentioned being overwhelmed, but she did a great job! There's lots of flight attendants and pilots who stay here which makes sense since it's extremely close to the airport and the Mall of America. The rooms were OK, I think that they were aiming for a MIAMI vibe, as the decor was Miami staged. The beds are way too low, for my liking. Platform beds are ok but not in hotels in my opinion! The room was clean but not as clean as they could've been... thankfully, I bring my own cleaning supplies so I was able to wipe knobs, handles, light switches, remotes. tables down and chair. I even lysol down the tub. Again, it could've been cleaner! Overall, I was able to sleep with the blinds open to allow the airport lights and the airplanes to fly over which was nice since the room had a fantastic view which is what I requested! There's free wifi in the rooms as well as, on the premises in all areas which was nice. The indoor pool was a nice vibe but filthy as it was really crowded. The gym was nice and being used as well! I loved the traffic and that everyone was using all of the amenities I won't say that, I won't stay here again but there's so many other options in this same area with higher beds, cleaner rooms and free parking that I'd rather not stay here again. read more

Comfortable hotel that is relatively new and tucked into a quite little neighborhood. Very close to the airport and mall of America. Airport shuttle is just 10 mins and runs every half hour. Rooms are a good size and the bed is comfortable. Only issue was a shower than didn't drain fast enough so there was some standing water. Was thrilled to see they also had a new peloton installed. Biggest drawback was the front desk staff. They got the job done but certainly not the most welcoming or helpful. If they don't answer the phone, you may need to call back. read more

Nice looking hotel. Close to Mall of America. All around awkward stay for us at the Hyatt Regency. Made reservations on the phone before arriving in the middle of the night. Was honored the Military discount after asking for it. Upon arriving and checking in, our interaction with Front Desk Guest Service was extremely awkward; no real conversation or confirming our stay. Service person was in their own thoughts. Our first room given to us was not confirmed with us and was wrong. We found out after walking in. My husband asked to have our correct room but the front desk service refused due to being overbooked. TWO DIFFERENT TIMES! The third time I walked down with him and ALL OF A SUDDEN the front desk allowed us to get a room that was held for other guests who were late. Our second room assigned to us the key would not open the door. We went down to front desk a FOURTH time. Our third room assigned to us was the one we reserved. It was nice and clean and exactly as the reservation picture showed. I noticed a couple torn spots on the sheets and pillows. Thought it was weird to have holes in sheets. All through the day & night was a high pitch sound coming from the hallway but we couldn't find where it was coming from. It was annoying while sleeping. If a neighbor was entering their room it seemed as though they were coming into our room. The whole weekend stay was fine other than the first annoying things. No loud neighbors or other problems. But I thought it was awkward all around. I am not sure if I would try Hyatt Regency again. There were other hotels around this one that might be more satisfactory. read more

STAY VERY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! One star is six to many. Your stay will be okay, but the false charges on your credit card days later will not!!! In an attempt to correct these false charges, I was given the absolute run around for thirty minutes. Hyatt employees stating there is nothing they can do, they dont have access to fix the issue. I am looking to stay at other ones in the area because they never have upgrades available for Globalists and the gym here is not good. It only has two benches and free weights. Great location for a visit to Mall of America (MOA)! Free shuttle service to/from from MSP and MOA, and the Metro light rail to those places and everywhere else is right across the plaza. The service here was truly excellent from start to finish, and the rooms are large and clean. Meant to include a special thank you to Rahmona, who single-handedly staffed the club room with warmth and perfect efficiency! She's a keeper! My only gripe is the lack of storage space in the room and bathroom, especially since both are so big! Specifically, it would be helpful to have more drawers to unpack your clothing and more counter space and more hooks for towels placed close to the shower instead of several steps across to the bathroom door. Still, I'd come back for another stay, no problem. read more

I'm updating my review to drop to a 1 star because I reached out to Hyatt corporate regarding these issues. They said hotel management would be reaching out and a week later, still nothing. Management is clearly aloof and doing a poor job. Geez. I had to question if I was on a hidden camera show at this hotel. I booked last minute due to flight delay. I'll bullet point all the goings on here. - I'm Globalist (highest member tier) with Hyatt - Hotel shuttle took 50 min to go 2 miles - Front desk girl was curt and didn't provide any Globalist benefits - Room requested and confirmed with front desk, not provide - Torn sheets & white crusty substance on couch - Complained and magically got a suite that I was told earlier was not available. - 1 bartender in lobby and he disappeared for 10 minutes with crowded bar during NBA Finals game 6. - Breakfast served out of a fancy kiosk, not a restaurant as the advertising alludes, with limited options but the server was very friendly. read more

This hotel is completely mismanaged. Only 1 of 3 elevators working so you have to wait in line to get to your room. No soap to wash your hands upon checking into our room and took multiple calls to get it. They won't clean your room even though we are staying 3 nights. I hate this hotel. Hyatt Regency always fall short. The hotel "shuttle" to the airport took forever!!! We needed to be picked up around midnight and of course, "we just missed the shuttle." Also, I had an extended late checkout, but my key stopped working and my tv reset/turned on while I was sleeping. The front desk was rude about my key issue, and I was told 3 different stories about technical malfunction, lack of communication to have my key reset at the front desk, & she didn't input it properly last night. read more

My boyfriend and I came from Houston, Texas on march 14th-22nd and we love staying at Hyatt's. This was our very first time to Minnesota as it was my birthday weekend and I have always wanted to see the mall of America and if definitely fulfilled my expectations. I am very glad we stayed at this Hyatt it is conveniently located to the train station which we don't have in Houston. We ate at the bar about three nights in a row and the waitress who is a lady is very friendly and was fast and always went above and beyond for us. I'm so glad I have a great 33 birthday and an AMAZING STAY AT HYATT!!!. read more

WARNING: our things were taken out of our room in the middle of our stay and some were permanently lost. Our stay was not refunded. We stayed at the Hyatt regency Bloomington for a wedding. We thought we were having a nice stay until we returned from the wedding our second night. We came back to ALL OF OUR THINGS WERE GONE FROM THE ROOM. The key still worked, so we assumed we had been robbed. Panic set in, and we ran down to get camera footage. After going to the front desk, they admitted they made a mistake, and thought we only had a one night stay, and blamed our booking agency. They had thrown our things in bags and put them in a back room. We carried them (ourselves...) back up to our room and tried to get reorganized. In the process, they had thrown out all of our food from the fridge and the bedside table, and lost our headphones. We immediately reported this to the staff, who was dismissive and immediately returned to blaming the booking instead of taking accountability for a mistake they knew was on their end. They furthermore said we were lucky to have a room because they overbooked. By the way, even if they had checked us out, they didn't invalidate our keys. It's a wonder we didn't walk in on someone sleeping. We spent half the night up trying to get re packed for a flight in the morning and get settled after the panic. This meant we lost the headphones for our trip. After repeated calls and follow up on subsequent travel, we were able to get the headphones replaced (albeit a cheaper version as the original is no longer available). The hotel is refusing to refund the stay after a horrific time. Replacing the headphones they lost is not equivalent to compensation for an awful experience. Note: the hotel itself is fine! It would have been a nice stay without this whole ordeal. But the mistake and subsequent follow up make this place a massive red flag for future guests. I will update this review if anything changes for future guests. read more

I have to say the Hyatt Bloomington, Minnesota next to the Mall of America is pretty fantastic. You hardly go to a hotel where you don't feel like something could've been better but, this place had everything above par. The room was great. The bed was comfy. The air conditioner was chilly. It was quiet so you couldn't hear the airplanes. The staff was really courteous, and the food was very very good. There is easy access to the blue line Rail about a block from the entrance with quick, inexpensive transportation to downtown. Free shuttle van is available from the airport to the hotel. AND from the hotel to the Mall of America. ( Wear your walking shoes because it is Huge.) read more

Mixed emotions about this hotel. Came for four nights in the middle of winter; it was a "feels like" -24 on the first night, fortunately warmed up after that. Appearance-wise, the hotel looks great, and first staff impressions, all fantastic. Blake, who was the manager on duty the night of our check-in, got me an awesome Hyatt Globalist upgrade. In fact, every staff member I interacted with, with the exception of the bartenders, were five star, happy, helpful, hard working, and attentive. First downside; while our room as massive and beautiful, the shower head was painfully eco-friendly at a time of year it's in the single digits and your room is in the 60's. Since it was an ADA room (and shower), there's no sealing of the shower stall, like a door, or floor length curtain, so that, combined with the low water flow, made for icy cold mornings and evenings. Now, where things really went off the rails was the bar service. First night was actually okay, but I was just a walk-up order and then back to the room, however I left a great tip since I knew we'd be back. Night two, "Lindsey O" is our bartender/server; good drinks, fast service, long wait for food, food isn't particularly hot, left good tip. Night three, we had a long wait just to get acknowledged by "Norman K". Bartender from the night before, whom was nice at that time, drops water off at our table without even acknowledging us or looking at us; felt really weird. Ultimately we receive our food, including warm (not hot) chili, but we were so tired of waiting at that point we just ate. The drinks were particularly weak, to the point that I asked Norman about it. His passive aggressive response was along the lines of "Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't realize you wanted a double since you didn't mention that, I can add a shot to it now if you'd like?" Umm no, I want a drink that tastes like it actually has alcohol in it, like what was served the night before, at regular price. Final night, sat down, we're apparently in Norman's section again, ignored for ten minutes. My wife goes to the bar to ask if we can have menus, again Norman with the condescending passive aggressive responses, delivered in the most pleasant voice possible just to make it that much more obnoxious; "It's very busy tonight (it was no busier than the other nights), I'm sorry I didn't realize you were over there to dine with us tonight; there are other closer tables. I will come by with menus as soon as I've helped the other customers who have been waiting." Okay, yeah we just sat down at the table to rest our legs instead of using our actual hotel room. We gave him another five minutes, hadn't come by, so we left. Final issue; apparently some guests were there for a group event, something went wrong, so Hyatt gives them all club access, turning Friday and Saturday mornings into a nightmare in the club. There were probably 20-40 people in there at any given time, and this is a small club room with perhaps six tables. Not just that, they literally tore the place apart; we came back Saturday night for drinks and maintenance had removed one of the tables because this party broke it. I felt horrible for the two staff who'd been working there all day from 7a to 7p; they looked very tired, we thanked them and tipped them. read more

First time in Minneapolis and glad my company booked me into this Hyatt. They are located about 10 minutes away from the Famous Mas of the Americas which said to be the 3rd largest in the world. This hotel has a great business center and area for business convention. Lobby bar and restaurant are full of very friendly and helpful staff were ever you may go in hotel. Rooms and bath are very ample with nice modern design and the comfy king size bed makes sure you get a good notes rest. Highly recommend this hotel when visiting either for business or play. read more

Hyatt Regency Bloomington has German COCKROACHES. They left this sticky trap under the bathroom sink with FOUR roaches stuck to it. Bedding was dingy and covered in stains, pillowcase had a cigarette burn in it. Completely disgusted. read more

Let me start off by saying I have high expectations for hotels, so my review is based on my preference. I stayed only for the weekend and this hotel met most of my needs at a great price. The staff was very accommodating far as check in and questions. I love the complementary water bottles, shower essentials, shuttle service, location, rm refrigerator and tv size. The room is standard, the bedding felt like I was sleeping on paper bags. The restaurant was more like an open bar lounge. I purchased a slice of cheese cake for 10 dollars that was half of a normal slice. Overall this is a great hotel for sleep and going for a walk in the area but not a lively area. The location is central to mall of America and light rail transit into downtown, and the building itself is beautiful. I love Hyatts especially their higher end Grand and Regency brands. This was my first stay at this relatively new hotel on business. When I arrived to MSP I took the Hyatt's complimentary airport shuttle bus. I had to wait a long time for the shuttle bus to arrive for about 35 minutes. Yet other hotel shuttle buses seemed to pick-up from MSP more frequently than the Hyatt. I later learned that the Hyatt has only one shuttle bus. I recommend the Hyatt should have a second shuttle bus to reduce the pickup time to less than 35 minutes. On a positive note, the hotel is conveniently located about 5 minutes away from MSP. The hotel is located near many other airport hotels. That was a plus especially since I had an early 6:05 am return flight back to MSP. When I arrived to the Hyatt I was surprised that this airport hotel was rated as a Regency, because this Hyatt looked only a little better than most other airport hotels. The lobby for example was not so impressive. Anyway my check into my room 623 for only $166 inclusive of all taxes and fees went smoothly. You can see the pics of my room. My check-out also went smoothly. I was disappointed there was no early morning coffee available in the lobby. I was able to take their complimentary airport shuttle back to MSP in time to catch my 6:05 am return flight. Two airline employees also took the shuttle with me. I've stayed at 4 Hyatt's in in two months across the country and this one is by far the nicest one that I've been at. Parking is free. Nice pool and work out area. So spacious and super clean. Our stay was very comfortable and pleasant. The staff here really takes it up another notch. Max, the shuttle driver, was engaging and friendly. I appreciate how he took the time to develop relationships with the guests--he really makes the Hyatt experience so much more meaningful. He goes above and beyond as well. Not only did he transport us to the mall and back, he even helped us with our bags when he saw us checking out. NO ONE has ever gone above and beyond like that, ever. Most are like, I'm a valet so I park cars only. You can call someone else to help you with your bags. Max, you're awesome! read more

My family and I really really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was really nice, felt clean and modern and sleek. Staff were very friendly. Hotel decor is something that I take extra notice of. It is something that can affect the entire stay for me. This place hired a competent decorator for sure because every element was cohesive and nothing felt even remotely garish, out of place, dated, tacky, or too muted. If you've got kids and are staying longer than a day, it is absolutely worth it to pay the $60 upcharge to have VIP Club Room access. We did and it allowed us to go into the special room that had nicer television, larger seating, a snack and drink bar, and they even had hors d'oeuvres and hot breakfast items at specified times. For what you'd end up paying to get food and drinks elsewhere, it was a really nice convenience to just get them as needed from the lounge. The pool is nice enough, nothing special, but it is clean and well-stocked with towels. There also happened to be a MASSIVE German convention, complete with an entire banquet room full of people dressed in traditional German garb, singing, dancing and drinking their faces off well into the early morning hours. It was amazing to see! The restaurant downstairs has SUPERB desserts. Ridiculously good stuff. We ordered one of each thing over two nights and loved them all! read more

Nice new hotel in Bloomington near the Mall of America. The lobby and surrounding areas are very modern, sleek, and bright. There is a small restaurant and bar area, meeting rooms, and workout facility. The staff is very friendly and all smiles. The bed is quite comfortable. The dissapointments are: - The Regency Club is not open yet - my room was small and had no closet, just an alcove to hang my clothes - there was no desk in the room, just a small table to work at - the staff was unclear on a couple minor details (such as what was the Diamond status food/beverage amenity It was nice, I just expect more for a Hyatt Regency. I guess it is geared more towards the tourist groups coming to the Mall vs the regular business traveler. As a Hyatt member with Diamond status, I have stayed at a lot of Hyatt Regency hotels and this just doesn't come across as a Regency property. read more

Firstly, we fell for the old bait & switch! Booked room for the extra work space that was shown on our reservation yet we received half the room!?!? Asked and told it was issue with the site, no compensation, no reduction or points, don't think they even apologized. No restaurant anymore due to Minnesota crazy COVID rules. Wanted a burger but they're cooked elsewhere another day then warmed up. Cannot walk to MOA anymore either because of safety, and police being defunded. read more

Very nice location. Lobby looks sharp.clean and new! Front desk are very friendly. Room was great! Everything looked new! Bathroom looks really cool! Now the bed is AMAZING! SOOOO COMFORTABLE! We got a king. It was my preference firm. Their tvs in the room are really cool! 55 inch Samsungs. Also they have a huge bar in the lobby that offer all sort of different beers on tap and cocktails. And their restaurant in the lobby offers all day service, good idea for all those late snack lovers. Will definitely be coming back here! read more

We stayed there for a conference but our Executive Assistant was unable to make our reservations for separate rooms so I was not credited for the stay as a Hyatt Member. I have tried calling the hotel to get my account credited. They said I had to speak to corporate. I called them and spoke to four different people, and the last one, a Supervisor, told me I had to call the hotel to start the dispute them. If they had less than zero stars I would give that to them for customer Service. read more

Hyatt Regency 3200 E 81st St, Bloomington MN 55425 Manager Aaron: I was sent to the Hyatt Regency to work by AAA Labor, Minneapolis. When I walked in, it was everything that you would expect. Beautiful looking atmosphere. I didn't get a chance to look at rooms as I was a temporary worker. I was sent to work in the kitchen, dishwashing. The manager's name was Aaron. The problems I encountered where of two. The kitchen and it surroundings were filthy. It was so bad that I wanted to begin to wash walls. The Dishwashing machine was also dirty beyond belief. I began to wash the dishwasher, however, was told by Aaron, not to worry about it, it could be done later. How it takes a temp to come in to see it, and then it can be done is beyond my thought process. But worse, was the dishes. They're sent through the power washer and sometimes without receiving a scrub. Normal dishes, plates, bowls do not usually need much more than a spray, however, metal pans need a scrub. There several that went through and didn't get cleaned, but, the reason I'm writing is because of the danger I witnessed. One food pan had some bacteria on it that had grown and hardened. I saw it, through in the garbage. Someone pulled the pan out of the garbage and put it back in the dirty dishes. My issue is that the possibility of someone getting sick by such habits was apparently not an issue to the employees. This report will be forwarded to the agencies necessary to be certain someone does something about such issues, immediately. read more
