Store is awesome I wish we had hyvee in Arizona where I live. Keep up the good work I went for dry ice and they were so helpful

We LOVE going to Hyvee. Everyone is always so friendly and helpful, and the food prices can't be beat. My husband and I were so VERY VERY impressed with the meal served to Veterans this past week. OMG! There were so many firemen and policemen serving the meals, and were so helpful and friendly...all wearing smiles and made us feel they really WANTED to be there that day! (They assured us there were plenty still at the stations manning the town).... We owe HyVee a huge debt of gratitude for the love they show my veteran husband and all the other veterans. I ordered a half sheet cake for a special event , and was so embarrassed upon seeing it. The cost of this cake should reflect professionalism in cake decorating. This cake does NOT look at all professional. Not only was the frosting , flowers, and writing a disaster, the cake itself was lopsided. Hyvee should be ashamed to even try to sell a cake like this for over $50. Never again! read more

Hy-Vee - My pre ordered professionally decorated HyVee cake - Grocery Near Me - Clinton, Iowa

I ordered a birthday cake 9 days in advance. I ordered a quarter sheet cake - white cake, strawberry filling, and white buttercream icing. I asked for it to be decorated in red and blue, and to have Happy Birthday and my nephews name written on it. I received a white cake with a red border, and Happy written in blue, Birthday written in white, and the name written in red. So unless you looked closely you couldn't really see the word birthday written in white on a white cake. Since I was on my way to the birthday party I had to take it as it was. And it got a lot of laughs and WTFs so it was okay. But, I cut the cake - it has no filling. And it seems like maybe they baked it 9 days in advance because it was bone dry. I got the cake from the bakery just because I had a lot of cooking to do for the party and I didn't want to mess with having to make a filling and put the cake together. Had I wanted a cake with no filling I could have spent $4.00 and bought a cake mix and a can of icing and spent an hour making it. As it was I paid $32.99 for a "professional" (???) to make it. read more

Food Service Manager is Service Dog UNFRIENDLY. She tried to eject me and my Service dog after I showed her the dog's Service ID Card and quoted the Americans with Disability Act! HY-Vee Manager needs to be educated regarding the law. I had already paid for the meal! read more

My daughter just went to the Clinton Iowa HyVee to get her booster and said the pharmacy staff including the pharmacist are not wearing masks. Considering the number of at risk people who must visit a pharmacy this is negligence and reckless. We are reporting the pharmacist and the store to the licensing board. read more

11/22/22 11:50 show up for lunch passing through town. Virtually all the tables in the dining area are dirty...presumably from breakfast. Really? People are walking around looking at tables and doing nothing. Table cleaning is basic and this store failed. read more

Great store with a wide variety of food. The pies are baked fresh daily and are to die for. Nice fresh fruit pies. They even have a Starbucks inside the store! read more

I travel all over the state. I USE to find Hy-VEE was a great place for lunch. I eat the salad bar... quick easy in out. The more I eat at these new market garden restaurants the more I hate them. I use to go in get myself a pile of salad, and serve myself as much water or pop as I wanted as quickly as I wanted. Now I have to wait for some waitress to serve me water and get the bill for me. Over half the time the Market is under staffed for lunch hour or the the person is slow at refilling my drink, it's ridiculous. I haves started avoiding these places and tend to go some where else for lunch if the Hy-Vee has a market garden. In short, if you are in a hurry for lunch don't stop at the market gardens for lunch. Also by the time you throw in a tip for crappy service you might as well have gone to a chain restaurant. read more

I recently moved here from Wisconsin and hadn't been to a Hy-Vee before. (Closest one was over an hour away.) Hy-Vee is the coolest grocery store ever! Good prices, amazing selection, wonderful staff, great liquor department, fantastic deli. I never dread grocery shopping anymore! read more

Always the same problem at check out, they scan the coupons but they are not deducted. What a scam! You have to go through the service desk every time to fix it. That's a total waste of my time every single time I shop at that store. That is why I try to avoid shopping there altogether. If it's not the coupons, it's something else. Do yourself a favor, and shop at Jewel, or Aldis. read more
