I bought this 95 Camaro here about 2 years ago. The price and payments were affordable and easy to…read morepay and the customer service was amazing it's hard to find helping honest people when looking for a new car but this place has them

We would like everyone to know NOT to do business with Cars R Us!! Jim, the owner, was as nice and…read morefriendly as could be when purchasing the van from him. Jim showed us the van with all the great features; remote start, power sliding doors, dvd system. Advertised all as working. He pulled down the dvd displays stating, "look at this guys, dual DVD players, won't the kids love this on road trips?" This was exactly what we had been looking for, mind you we've been shopping for nearly 3months. We are having our 4th child next month and our oldest is only 6yrs old. So the add'l, higher priced features, were exactly what we needed. (Jim had a van on the lot without these features for much less) So we purchased the van and upon getting home and checking the dvd system, it doesn't work. We had to take the van back anyway for Jim to fix the TPM sensors and perform an oil change(which he stated he'd do at the time of sale) so we told him about the dvd system upon dropping off. He says, "No problem, we'll take a look at it." We pick up the van later that day and he tells us, "his mechanic didn't have TPM sensors, but we could go to Walmart and they'd do it for $30 bucks" he then says "mechanic said the oil was fine, and he also said he couldn't figure out the DVD player either." So Jim then advises us to take the van to Chrysler so they can show us how to work the DVD player. We do so 7 days later; which by then we started noticing the van making harsh shifts in between 1st and 2nd gear, the engine was having a noticeable ticking sound, and finally an "oil maintenance required" notice; which was permanently displayed in the dash. Chrysler states the van was in for repair of the dvd system back in 2013 but due to the $900 cost to fix they decided not to. The TPM sensors are $202 to fix. Oil Change: $25. The harsh shifting: needs a TCM update and transmission fluid flush $276. The ticking: Worn Rocker Assemblies $1450. We went with the oil change and the transmission flush. The total cost we spent with Chrysler was $336. Not even 2 weeks after buying the vehicle. There is still a $1400 "rocker assembly" that will need to be repaired. This news was somewhat expectant, as it is a used vehicle, but we didn't think to this magnitude. Notice: our DVD System wasn't fixed either. We called Jim to let him know on what Chrysler said. Also, we asked Jim to let us keep the $500, that we owe him towards the $3000 down payment, so we can use that towards the repair of the DVD system. Jim tells us "No, no, no absolutely not, you still owe me that money. You were actually supposed to bring it to me over a week ago." He asks us, "well did you check the DVD player before you purchased it?" I said, "no, we took your word for it when you presented it as a working system." Jim then says , "it's our fault we didn't check the dvd system before we purchased the van and to just buy iPad's we can put behind the headrests". Does he mean iPads I would have to purchase in order to be able to do this?? I continued to explain myself to Jim stating, "we wanted a van with the features you advertised as working, if the dvd system wasn't important to us we would've bought the van on your lot for $2000 cheaper that didn't come with a dvd system. That's what we wanted, that's what you made us to believe we were buying!" Jim continued to say, "its not his fault, too bad, you owe me the $500." Even after I asked him, "how can you feel good knowing that I have to take money away from my family to fix something you made me believe was working?" Jim states, "DOESN'T MAKE ME FEEL BAD AT ALL!" We just hope that all potential customers of Cars R Us can have the opportunity to read this before they decide to do business with them Or at least check EVERYTHING and DO NOT take their word for it.
