Drink prices seemed super reasonable to me. But really anywhere in Europe they seem reasonable to me. Bartender didn't really know how to make a whiskey sour and what I ended up drinking wasn't that fantastic, but I think that's my fault, what the hell was I doing ordering a whiskey sour at this place? Beer seems to be the best bet. The place filled up quick and seemed very popular with the locals and tourists alike.

As clubs in Berlin are wont to do, it closed down and the place remained empty for some time. Then, earlier this year (six weeks ago, to be exact), that same space reopened, only now it's known by Bi Nuu (and purportedly owned by the same folks over at Lido). Being that I live a few blocks away, my natural inclination is to love this venue, namely due to its proximity. But there are other positive aspects too. I don't know what the old club looked like, but the new one is quite lovely inside, although surprisingly small. The entrance is somewhat discrete (although easier to locate on a night when there's actually a show) but there is a lot of open space in the hallway between the door and the main room. The ceilings are high, there is a lot of "natural' light that can come through, and the acoustics are not bad. However, I've only seen solo artists on amplified acoustic guitars, so it will be interesting to compare the sound with a full live band. Also, for being in a train station and practically directly under the train tracks, one doesn't even hear the U-Bahn going overhead (although it's likely different when music is not playing). If you get an opportunity to see a show at Bi Nuu, I would urge you to check it out. The booker is consistently bringing in excellent acts and the venue itself is pretty legit.

It makes everything SO MUCH EASIER. no need to fight your way to the bar to get the attention of a server and wait for him to make the drinks, you just order, pay and wait for your buzzer to let you know when to get the drinks from the counter. It felt a little sketch walking up the ramp of a deserted parking garage but it was all part of the allure, and once we got up to the rooftop, it was a beautiful space decked out with colorful lights, plenty of seating at communal table, and a vibrant crowd. I didn't make it out to the patio or side lounge, but I did dance my heart out of everything from The Cure, London after midnight, she past away, boy harsher, the Bolshoi... Classics from every decade represented! And wow... They make incredible Moscow mules, which is something I would have never expected! Maybe they were too good? I totally didn't plan to drink that many. *Lol* But going back to the crowd ... I loved the come as you are vibe -- the complete opposite of the gotther than thou snottery in Barcelona! Ppl were wearing all kinds of different things, just being themselves and having a great time... Ages 18 to maybe even 60+! I wish there was a place like this where I live so I can grow old livin' my best life, too
