Interesting how there isn't a review yet for this place…read more My family has been coming here for years, especially my parents. The Chinese food here is authentic Cantonese style. My parents like to order their steamed fish which isn't cheap but it is so good. The "sang choy bao" or lettuce wraps are really good, very flavorful, and there usually isn't enough of it to go around. I want at least 2 cups but usually, there is only 1 for each person. The thin fried noodles (vegetarian) -- "see yau wong chow meen" -- is stellar! Perfectly dry like it should be and flavor-packed. The only thing I didn't love was the crispy skin chicken. The skin wasn't really crispy. Each time I go home, this is one of those restaurants where we will go for at least one meal. It's good to know that it's remained consistent through the years.

Here's why: - Warm welcome from the charming and funny manager upon entry. - Were introduced to George the fish (we sat next to his tank). - Very friendly, smiling wait staff had nice chats with us whenever they brought something to the table. - Complimentary prawn crackers were served as a starter while we perused the menu. - They make the best salt and pepper tofu ever (speaking as someone who doesn't usually like tofu). - Delicious braised chicken with cashews and sizzling Mongolian beef. Best in town! - Nice atmosphere and full of happy diners having the best time!

It's a bit hidden and if my friends had never told me about this place, I would probably have never found it to be perfectly Yelpingly honest. It's a great little restaurant that serves Yum Cha, but you order it so they make it nice and fresh and deliver it to your table. Prices are a dollar or two more than most daytime places, but for opening these late hours, it's fast become one of the places to get your food on when the night gets a bit late and everything else is shut. And you're around the Eight Mile Plains area... conveniently... why not right? It's a great place to take kids, family and have a meal dinner, lunch you name it. The food here has always been quite fresh and served very hot and steaming and I love that they make the yum cha fresh. Love it!

I have many fond memories of coming here after 11pm with uni friends to celebrate getting an assignment in on time with some late night char sui bau. This is also a great place for yum cha if you have young kids. The restaurant isn't as crowded as the Landmark in Sunnybank and there are no steaming trolleys ready to bowl over your children. Instead, you order from a form and there's a pictorial guide to all the dishes. Some people prefer the lucky dip of the trolley system but I personally like to get my favourite dishes when I want them. Furthermore, the yum cha menu is extensive. You can get unusual treats such as cane pudding, sesame roll and some lovely cuts of offal such as Pig intestines in Black bean sauce and steamed beef tendons. (Yummo!) NB: the restaurant purports to open at 10am but I've been left waiting at the door until quarter past.
