Maybe you'll be able to, though? The work itself is at best fine in some areas, but there are many issues that Eric refused to address before wrapping up the project. Once he felt he was done, our questions/issues no longer mattered. The amount of money spent on the project led us to believe that it would be better. The experience was not smooth. The way that Eric treated my wife, if he was ever actually on site with his helper, was less than ideal and only seemed to happen if I wasn't around. Ultimately, I think Eric wanted the job to be what only he wanted it to be and did not like our ideas or hopes, which didn't sit well with us, considering our position in funding it and communicating clearly in many of our preferences. There are plenty of 5-star reviews that will drown out this one singular negative, but very honest, review. ***The helper that he did have doing the bulk of his work, Carlos, is deserving of a separate review because he was great.

It felt quite manipulative that a couple of hours after we agreed on the price and extent of repairs, 'Johnny' called to say that he felt it best to replace the whole roof. This meant way more money, way more time, and taking off shingles that there's nothing wrong with them - 80-90% of the roof would've lasted another 20-30 years. He hinted that he would no longer be willing to do the job unless I agreed to have the whole roof replaced. Then, during FULL ROOF REPLACEMENT, the Mexican guys who work for him drilled a big hole in the ceiling, through the drywall; and then they dropped a big crowbar tool through the skylight, gouging a couple holes in the hardwood floor. When I told him about these incidents, his charming demeanor was gone - he looked doubtful, repeatedly asked if I was sure the hole wasn't there before, and clearly didn't want to be responsible for dealing with it. The ceiling drywall had to be repainted, which was a whole thing, because they used shiny instead of matte paint; then the color was wrong so they had to paint a couple of walls... and instead of having their most proficient guys do it, they were using the opportunity to teach their younger guys to paint - so it was a mess, and I strongly felt I needed to oversee them working and make corrections, or they'd damage something else. (Like getting paint on the floors, windows, and trim). I was quite busy with other things around this time and didn't enjoy having to do this. The damage to the floor was not fixed to satisfaction, (they had no idea what to do) but at that point I just wanted them all out of the house. After everything, I had to remind Johnny multiple times to send the warranty... Finally, as a side note: it is not super professional to - (in front of the customer - during a job) - act annoyed at or even argue with your WIFE , on the phone, when she calls. Just sayin'.
