There is a Woman...that works there, as long as I have been giving them my business…read more She is Nasty, Angry, Rude and you have to purchase from her at the register when checking out, and greet her Nasty personality when you enter . I love all the kids that work there and the orange cat. I love the fact that the orange kitty sits in the bin with baby chickens.! I purchase everything from there. I depend on this Strutty's location for my horse products, my feed, my hay, my Pelleted bedding for my horse stall. I purchased halters from there and tiedowns, and all sorts of random stuff. I just like to be in there and buy new things. I returned a halter today, and she stomped out of nowhere up from behind me, and accused me of returning two halters, and that , this was a serious problem. She was the person that I returned the first halter too. The rope halter was so damn big it only fit a Clydesdale and she couldn't remember that. Even though we had a five minute conversation about it before I returned it. I returned another halter today because it stretched out instantly, and the knots were not balanced on my ex race horse and made him go crazy. He has a sensitive nose from chain halters. She was so nasty and accused me of returning a second halter. The woman is Vile, Angry, and clearly has a lot of problems. I am not one of them. The rest of the staff is amazing. But I will never go back to that Struttys ever again, because I will never support her paycheck. She should be fired.

A pudgy orange house cat named Dudley was welcoming folks at the door. I saw another long and lean black cat wandering the aisles too. I came for a few treats and a harness for my new pup. I was pleasantly surprised at how competitive their prices are compared to Petco or PetSmart. With a large selection of treats it was difficult to it narrow down but one of the staff helped me choose a few items. Just for giggles I bought a .85 cent chicken foot for my 8lb pup (he devoured it!). I was able to find the perfect harness and at almost $10 less than the big box stores. Strutty's is my new go-to pet store!

My dog being highly driven was a bit of a handful at first to say the least but I found Karen and her staff to be professional and compassionate toward the needs of not only the dogs but their owners as well. They worked tirelessly to help each team meet the necessary requirements to achieve their goal of becoming an AKC Certified Therapy Dog Team. As with any type of training one must practice outside of class the techniques given while in class in order to accomplish the intended goal. I know I spent many hours each week working with my dog and the hard work paid off. In response to Rebecca's review regarding her dog and what took place during her dog's final evaluation, one must understand that being touched by strangers is the entire concept of what therapy dogs do and passing this portion of testing is not only mandatory but critical to the certification process. As a classmate of Rebecca and her dog, I can tell you first hand that her dog did more than just "show teeth", he actually snapped /bit at the trainer twice during the touch evaluation. To me , an untrained eye, it was apparent from the start that she and her dog were both very shy and quite unsure about the entire process. I'm not sure she fully understood the amount of time and effort neccessary to complete the required training or perhaps she didn't realize that her dog was not as confident and friendly as she might have wished. There is no shame in that as not every dog is meant to do this work. What I do know is that this organization is doing an awesome service for the community and Changing Lives One Paw Print At A Time.

My dog has never had any type of training before so I thought it was nice that they put you through obedience school first. One of the ladies that answers the phone is not very prompt at all and hardly checks her phone. She had contacted me 3 days after the 1st class had taken place, that I could participate if I wanted. Since I was absent the 1st day of class, I had asked everything that they did the 1st day, but even with that apparently they went over a lot because throughout my time taking my dog, I was always getting in trouble for things I apparently should have already known. So it would be nice if they make sure everyone is well aware of all the rules and what you should and should not do while training your dog. Since I was a week behind, I felt my dog was always behind in the classes since all the other dogs were ahead. They shouldn't let anyone into the classes after they start. For the final exam, they went over the stuff that was going to be test and would practice with us. One thing they didn't practice was for a stranger grabbing our dogs paws. My dog and I weren't prepared for that and my dog showed a little teeth. And because of that my dog was deemed aggressive and failed. My dog has never been around strangers that grab the paws and I felt this was a waste of money because although they do teach some obedience, it seemed your dog must already be super friendly with strangers beforehand, and I felt I was mislead because the girl on the phone had said they could teach us everything with no problem. They obviously need to have other requirements to participate or maybe they just tell people that to get as much money as possible already knowing you'll fail later, I hope that's not the case though.

One of the snakes being offered for sale was dead in its water bowl. The water bowl also contained feces, making the situation even more upsetting to see. When I informed an employee, their response was simply, "Oh yeah, the snake is dead," with no apparent urgency or concern. As I continued through the store, I also saw a dead rat in one of the rodent enclosures that had been partially eaten by the other rats. It appeared the body had been left there long enough for the other rats to begin consuming it. I took photos of what I observed because I couldn't believe the conditions. Regardless of the reason an animal dies, it should be removed promptly, and the remaining animals should not be left in that environment. Customers should not have to be the ones discovering deceased animals or pointing them out to staff. As someone who keeps snakes myself, I understand that animals can unexpectedly die. What is unacceptable is leaving deceased animals on display and in enclosures where they continue to decompose. I sincerely hope the store improves its husbandry, sanitation, and routine animal checks so no other animals or customers have to experience what I saw today.
