This should have been done a long time ago…read more I was in the area for a job. I'm out in the middle of nowhere so there wasn't many choices when I stumbled upon Joiners. I was searching for a little spring. I had little confidence this tiny place would have what I needed. I walked into the store and maneuvered down the cramp aisles. An employee (maybe the owner) comes over to help me. I tell him what I need and he pulls out the board displaying the springs and rifles through the drawer to find me what I needed. Then he charges me 50¢. And then when I said get him next time. I told him I didn't live there. He said whenever. Wow! People still do stuff like that? So I walked out to my truck, dug around in my backpack and found 50¢ to bring back inside.

It's a southern illinois fixture and a great place to meet the locals and pick up that odd-sized bolt or to get advice on how to resolve a problem with a gate or a canning problem.
