My son's initial ACT prep score was only 21, and the folks at Huntington thought that with approximately 48 hours of prep, he could improve his score by as much as 5 points. It is a bit of a financial commitment, but we decided that in order to get into one of his choice schools, he really needed to score at least 25, so we did it. Because he started late, he could only get 39 hours of prep in before the December ACT in order to get scores in time for Fall 2016 admissions. He scored a 29! That is an 8 point improvement and was enough to catapult him into acceptance at several top schools and honors colleges, and with the highest academic scholarship at every college. The staff at Huntington are wonderful and they were able to tailor the learning sessions to exactly what he needed. My child is 8 years old and is in the second grade. He couldn't read a word correctly and I was devistated! I heard about Huntington from a friend who said their child had the same problem and now is reading fine. I figured it wouldn't hurt and met with a nice woman who told me he had to be tested. After his test they found out that he couldn't read because he didn't know letter sounds.Well, they re-taught him and now in a few short weeks he is reading. I can't say enough good things about Huntington! All three of my daughters attended Huntington for SAT prep. Each of their programs were geared toward their individual needs. Not only did Huntington help with content, they taught them strategies to maneuver through the test easily. The practice tests that were given throughout the programs helped them to become familiar with the SAT and with managing their time while taking it. We brought our son to Huntington because he was getting poor grades. They gave him an evaluation which pinpointed exactly where he needed help. He was in 6th grade, but reading at a 3rd grade level. They were able to go back teach him the skills that he needed and bring up to a 7th grade reading level in a relatively short period of time. This was life changing for our son!
