My son and daughter both went to Huntington for help at different times. My son had trouble reading when he was young and the tutor did an amazing job helping him become a fluid reader. We brought him back this past year to prep for the SAT and hia score was really good. He ended up getting in to every college he applied but more importantly got scholarship money which is going to be great for our family. My daughter did not understand algebra and her tutor was so kind and understanding. She could explain it in a way that connected. She went from failing to finishing with a solid B. My neighbor recommended Huntington when we started to worry about our daughter's grades. We ended up picking them because they were so thorough in their evaluation and what they concluded matched what we saw and the school noticed. She has grown immensely and has so much more confidence. I liked the personal touch that Huntington provides with the SAT program. They stayed on top of my son's progress and test dates and kept me well informed of how he was doing. He skipped his homework a couple times and they let me know so we could get him caught up. He had the same tutor and really liked her a lot. Best of all, his score went up 279 points and we're hoping he gets some scholarship money out of this, which would be really nice. My son was really struggling with reading in 2nd grade and math was not great either. They did an evaluation and identified the problem. They built a plan to get him caught up and it worked! He is so much happier and confident in school now and I am much less stressed. I highly recommend Huntington for anyone whose child is struggling in school. My daughter was very anxious about her SAT score as she did very poorly after completing the high school course. We brought her to Huntington and she had a 1-1 tutor who was was able to help her understand the material so much better. The strategies she learned really made a difference and added her confidence. I brought my daughter to Huntington at the advice of the school guidance counselor when she fell behind in reading. Math was not great either but reading was our main concern. I am so glad we did this because the improvement was dramatic. I really like how they start with the basics and build from there. She is doing great in school now in all subjects.
