Right now he goes to the Community Center and prior to that to the Gordon Creek site. Wendy is fantastic, she is very sensitive to each individual child's needs and wants. Chris Grubb is very accommodating and responsive to requests or to answer questions. He oversees the entire program, keeping in compliance and maintaining a safe environment for the children . He is particularly wonderful with the kids. There are always fun activities going on that the kids can choose from. The beautiful big gym with the new floor is great for the kids to exercise in when it is too cold to go outside to the playground at the center or around the corner at the Malta Ave school. The staff is medication certified which is also a great asset for children, like my son, who need routine medications. BACC is close to downtown so on special occasions or "adventure days" Chris and the staff organize walking trips for ice cream or pizza. I can't say enough good about the program. It is a true asset to the community.

Eco Baby childcare center has the perfect combination of nurturing, guiding, and learning to ensure…read morethat children have the support they need to grow and flourish. I love that the center provides a holistic approach to play, to lessons, and most importantly to the children's nutritional needs. They provide organic foods and products, as well as, use many locally sourced dairy, fruits, and vegetables when available. They feel strongly about decreasing our environmental foot print by keeping a vegetarian menu and building healthy eating habits for our little ones. Even though they are located in the city of Troy they also make sure the children get plenty of time outside to explore and appreciate this place with call home. Thank you Eco Baby for all you provide our children. They are our future.

A great day care for some, but not every child…read more My soon-to-be 3 year old is 90th percentile height and weight, physical, and has a communication barrier due to learning two languages at once. Fair to say, he is not a normal kid. But after a few weeks at Eco Baby, it became alarmingly apparent that the day care staff is not equipped to handle him. His aggressiveness had gotten to the point where other children feared to be around him. From our experience at home, with friends, and at other day cares, we do not find this extraordinary aggressiveness to be normal. When I asked if they were able to give him special attention, they said "We don't have enough people to do that". When I asked if they get him to the playground, they said "We don't go if we don't feel like we can get there safely". Their response instead was to document each instance of aggressive behavior. They never told me for what purpose -- I am paranoid that the documentation was more for their own liability, and an excuse for expulsion, than for my child's developmental sake. We withdrew immediately -- it is not fair to our own child or to everyone else's to keep him in an environment where the lack of control from the teachers results in pariah-status for my child at such a sensitive developmental time. If you are a parent of a non-aggressive toddler, you might think that my child is beyond the average for aggressive, or that maybe we are somehow bad or violent parents. But if you yourself have an aggressive toddler, then you understand that a child's aggressiveness, yes even the extreme aggressiveness of my child, is not something to blame yourself about. You know that your child simply needs extra attention to correct the bad behavior and divert that energy into something positive. And what a joy your child becomes when they put their energy into something positive! My review is for parents like you, which is simply that this day care is not prepared to handle your child, and it will be a negative experience for you, your child, and others.

Great staff, big rooms with natural light, a playground (multiple) out back, CONCOURSE ACCESS for indoor walks and travel to the NYS museum (not like there's ever a need for an indoor walk in Albany), outside twice a day as toddlers, outside every day as babies, they use the parks near them and enjoy picnics in Washington Park or the sprinklers in Lincoln Park....I always felt safe and comfortable with her at CP, and when I picked her up she would often be very busy playing, even at the end of the day. No teachers on phones taking pictures of kids to text to parents. No screens, no swings, no bouncers. They have their methods and they involve really respecting the kids.

Now my son speaks fluent English and Spanish and is able to write his name, say the alphabet in Spanish and English and is even starting to READ and he is only 4! She too knows numbers and letters in Spanish and English and has become much more independent! I am blown away at the level of care that BGA provides. They are now in Soccer and Piano lessons there as well. Its amazing how much they have been able to grow and learn at such a young age.

It's hard to put into words just how much Parkside Kids has meant to our family…read more For the past nine years, Miss Stephanie and the entire Parkside Kids team have been such an important part of our girls' lives. From the moment we walked through the doors, we knew they were loved, cared for, and treated like family. We were fortunate enough to experience both the original in-home daycare and the transition to the Parkside Kids center, and it was seamless. The same love, attention, and family atmosphere that made us feel at home from the very beginning only continued to grow. The peace of mind that comes from knowing your children are happy and safe each day is something every parent hopes for, and Parkside Kids gave us exactly that. Every teacher and caregiver has been incredible. They didn't just care for our children--they encouraged them, celebrated their milestones, and helped them grow into the amazing little girls they are today. Along the way, our girls made friendships and memories they'll carry with them for years to come. The facility is always impeccably clean, communication has consistently been excellent, and it's clear how much pride everyone takes in creating a warm, welcoming environment. It's no surprise that whenever someone asks for a daycare recommendation, Parkside Kids is always my answer. We've recommended them to family and friends over the years, and I would do it again without hesitation. While we're excited for the next chapter, saying goodbye is bittersweet. This place has been such a meaningful part of our family's journey, and we'll always look back on these years with gratitude. Thank you, Miss Stephanie, and the entire Parkside Kids team, for nine incredible years. Thank you for loving our girls, supporting our family, and giving them such a wonderful start in life. We will always be grateful.

It is clear Steph and Parkside's wonderful teachers love what they do, and our toddler son felt right at home from our very first day at the center. Steph's years of experience operating an in home center have seamlessly scaled to a larger daycare center setting while maintaining high standards and a close knit family feel. We have been less than impressed by other daycares in the area but have always felt comfortable and confident leaving our son in Parkside's very capable hands. In addition to the wonderful owner/director and staff, the indoor and outdoor play areas are clean and appropriately stimulating for young children. There is so much space and variety for children to explore, play, and burn energy, which is a huge plus for our active little one. I always have to drag my son out of Parkside at pick up time because he just loves playing with the excavators and rocks outside! The extreme cleanliness of the facility, nutritious and included meals, convenient hours of operation, frequent updates and pictures via the Brightwheel app, and reasonable rates are other things we appreciate. Our family highly recommends Parkside Kids!
