We've been there many times over many years. They've been wonderful. Until the last two times. Both times they misdiagnosed kidney stones. One time they said the stone was 1 mm and could be easily passed. The urologist later said it was a 4-5 mm stone and needed intervention. This last time, they said there was no kidney stone and sent him home. Less than 12 hours later, the hospital said he had an 8 mm stone and needed surgery Either the radiology department takes lousy pictures and/or the radiologist can't read CT scans. Had to rush our son over for a broken arm yesterday. This ER was brilliant. They quickly jumped into action to get him out of pain. They had a very experienced and knowledgeable staff. The doctors, nurse, and radiology team was fantastic. We couldn't be more grateful for their speedy response. He had to get local anesthesia and they had to straighten the break. He was able to get through with minimal pain due to their diligence. I can not thank this facility enough. read more

Nurse Stacey is the rudest nurse I've ever had the unfortunate circumstance in coming into contact with. I came in from a different regional office ER with the same bracelet because they had also checked me in. The nurse pulls my wrist and says "what is this" without giving me more than five seconds to explain she tells me that she will be reporting the office who sent me here. Firstly the other office did not send me there so for her to lie to get another person in trouble is heinous! All I asked of them from the previous office was if there was another emergency room closer because i lived in Kissimmee, the very kind front associate pointed me to HUNTERS CREEK and ADVENT HEALTH. In no violation of anything she was doing. God forbid anyone at the office try to help? Apparently it's worse to help someone then to just tell the patient to leave! Secondly I came in for extreme teeth pain and was in tears because it was hurting so bad, the same day i had all four wisdom teeth removed and i haven't been able to consume anything so that means i cannot take the painkillers i was prescribed because on an empty stomach they won't work. i was told to go to the ER. I go to the bathroom to vomit and the nurse comes out for not more than five seconds before she leaves, my boyfriend asked her to wait and she simply turned her head towards him and walked back. Didn't even give a no? Which would've been more than fine. We then proceed to wait at the door for ten more minutes while the nice man in the front promises it'll only be a few more minutes. Everyone else at this facility is extremely kind and i think wants to help people but i think it is just this nurse. She comes back and says my boyfriend cannot come back with me. I tried as best as i could to communicate what pain i was in and that my shallow breathing was from the blood pooling in my mouth from the wisdom teeth and throwing up, so she proceeds to tell me that it's anxiety and that i need to stop. There is no way to describe the pain i was in from FOUR wisdom teeth being removed without anything stopping it. I don't know how this nurse could not have any empathy for their patient. I cannot communicate enough to her that it isn't anxiety and i don't have a history with it. With blood still pooling in my mouth I text my boyfriend. He talked to the man at the front and said that if i talked to the doctor he would let him back there; it was extremely hard for me to speak and On top of this Im a veteran with PTSD it's very hard for me to communicate because of this. I begged her and showed her the messages of the man at the front and she told me "you can leave!" At this point I'm sobbing very hard and the pain is unbearable, she has an IV and a bunch of other stuff in her hands without me even seeing the doctor. Or communicate any way of my pain to her. I asked would i be charged and she said "you're sitting in my chair aren't you?" I am not a medical professional but I'm sure that's not how you communicate to any patient in pain. I picked up in tears said "you are the rudest nurse I've ever met" and walked out of the room. My boyfriend and i then asked the new man at the front if there were any discharge papers or anything with a price that i could bring to my insurance. I believe the he did ask but there was nothing to give because i didn't see a doctor. So now I'm in a limbo of price because of an extremely rude nurse. I hope Osceola regional hunters creek ER do something about this because it's obvious that there are workers who care and others who have complete disregard for others feelings. Thank you. read more

I was so impressed with the care I received from Hunters Creek Emergency. Everyone was friendly, professional, and concerned with making sure that I was comfortable and pain free. Hanna B if you really care send the phone number and name and email address if the board of the hospital. Other than that I'll have no choice than to contact AMA and the joint commission. Please read: Think twice before heading there. Instead go to a real hospital ER. My son was misdiagnosed at this location. He was referred to this location from a Walgreens clinic since the nurse practitioner suspected pneumonia. At Hunters creek ER my son was mistakenly diagnosed with pyelonephritis ( kidney infection ) and prescribed Cephalexin 500, which is not even the preferred drug for that condition!! After 24 hours of agony and my son health getting worst , I took him to Advent Health where he was correctly diagnosed with double pneumonia and had to stay 9 days at the hospital!!! The longer the treatment starts for pneumonia, the worst the prognosis could be !! It's hard to believe that the Doctor at Hunters creek ER did X-rays and a CT scan and couldn't identify pneumonia, but instead mistakenly diagnosed him with kidney infection !!! The lack of care and professional knowledge could had cause my son his life. This would be reported to the corresponding agencies / boards. read more

My mom came here after complaining of dizziness, weakness, hardness of breathing, and coughing. My mom is always the one who would sleep it off so the fact that she wanted to come here meant she felt something was off. We took her here around midnight. The staff were super friendly and a nurse came and did the initial work. Finally the doctor came and asked a slew of questions before ordering a battery of tests. The results came in about 1-2 hours and she was given an IV drip. Luckily it was nothing major and after a script for some anti bacterial medicine, we all went home with a sigh of relief. The doctor and nurses were really attentive and provided the necessary care. The only complaint my mom had was that the nurse took 3 tries to get a blood draw. read more

I visited Hunter Creek ER at the end of April of 2019. I was working a company conference and got sick. On Sunday I went to the ER (incorrectly thinking it was also an urgent care facility) to be seen by a doctor and get some medicine for my throat and cough. The front desk staff (not sure if she is a nurse) was very distant and did not seem at all interested in helping me, if anything she seemed annoyed that I was there at all. The professionalism was extremely low, and I tried to be very polite and explain that wanted to see a doctor for my sore throat and cough. I should've been more discerning during this instant because the quality of care did not improve. She took down some basic information and took my vitals and then took me to a room. I was greeted by the intake person after a few minutes and signed the documents she presented to me. The PA (I don't think he was a doctor) came in and asked what was going on, and I told him. He looked at my throat and my ears, and listened to my heart and lungs. He said my throat was very red but that's about it. He performed no tests. He wrote me a prescription for penicillin and a cough suppressant and then left with no more instructions. The visit with the PA lasted maybe 10 minutes. I waited an additional 10 minutes or more with no one coming. I opened my door and a male staff member asked me to be patient and that he was coming. Keep in mind that I have no instructions from the PA, I have no idea who is supposed to be coming or what the process is. The male staff member says to take the prescriptions and follow the instructions. I check out and am on my way. The entire visit lasted maybe 45-50 minutes and out of that, maybe 30 minutes was in direct contact with a staff member. Out of the four interactions with staff member that I had, the longest was with intake. All the interactions were very unprofessional and all of them seemed very annoyed with me in general. Keep in mind it's a Sunday and they are not at all busy during the afternoon, on this specific day. I check my insurance claims a few days later to see that my deductible had been reached. This was shocking because I owed $2k on my deductible to meet it. I check the claims and sure enough I was charged $2800 for this visit. Insurance paid $800 something, so it's $2k something to me for this very insignificant visit. Hunter Creek ER has one line item on the bill, "Emergency Room Services". The PA could have done everything he did in the waiting room that he did in the room behind the desk. There were no tests done, at all. I called Hunter Creek to speak about the high bill, because it was so high for such an insignificant visit. I was greeted with a very rude woman. I asked her to review the charges with me and she said there was only one line item, "Emergency Room Services", for a total of $2800 something. I asked if that seemed right since my visit was so insignificant and no tests were done. She responded with, "We can audit the charge if you would like?". I said, "Yes". I received a letter in the mail indicating that my charge was being audited, part of the letter reads as follows; "This letter is to confirm your request for a review of your hospital charges. It is our policy to audit the entire bill whenever a question arises on a particular item. We have forwarded your audit request to our revenue integrity department who will respond to your directly with the results of the audit, which is usually within 14 days of your request. Your account will be reviewed for discrepancies resulting in both overcharges and unbilled items. This means, if items are found that were given, but inadvertently not charged, they will be added to our bill and any overcharges will be take off your bill. Also, you need to understand that both overcharges and unbilled items will be addressed and the appropriate person may be refunded or re-billed. Our medical auditors will not address medical necessity for services rendered...." The letter from the group who did the audit reads as follows; "The above account has been reviewed with the medical record for discrepancies results for both overcharges and unbilled charges. The audit does not address medical necessity or the reasonableness of any charge for individual items." Basically, both these letters say that they will review the bill and add charges to if if they for some reason weren't billed in the first place and then also remove overcharges. So they say they will remove overcharges but then say they don't consider the reasonableness of the charges in their review, which basically means they won't adjust the cost if something is outrages. My bill for $2800 something is not reasonable at all. I had no tests, was seen for under an hour, and only had a sore throat/cough. Do not go to this ER. read more

This is the worst ER ever! I should've read the reviews before I got here. My wife has a CONCUSSION and they sent her home with a HEADACHE!!!!!! This is how people end up dying and that's called malpractice!! This is completely unbelievable and disgustingly evil that you would open up an EMERGENCY room and have clowns working in the place. If you could, it would have no stars. They staff from a company called Emergency Physician Solutions of North Florida, LLC. This company purposely employs doctors who are not in the network that this ER should be a part of. This results in them charging whatever the hell they want. I've never had to pay more than my deductible for an ER visit. This visit cost me $1500.00. DO NOT GO HERE! EDIT: 9/11/18 After multiple letters to the company and getting repeated bills saying they would send me to collections, I called them. I asked why I was being harassed for a bill I didn't owe and why I kept getting letters stating I would be sent to collections. I had the service rep look everything up and she confirmed that they submitted the info again and my insurance paid IN FULL. I'm pretty sure they do scummy practices of submitting insufficient claims to purposely be denied so they can send patients additional bills. It's a shitty practice but is not uncommon. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place if possible. If you can't then confront them on every single bill and request all copies of any payments you made. They will back down. They should be renamed Emergency Scumbag Solutions of North Florida. read more

Can't recommend this location. Went with my elderly Dad when we were on vacation in Orlando. We were seen by a Physician's Assistant, never saw an M.D. The ER was not busy. My Dad had increased urination and some confusion. Labs were done and were ok except for a minimally decreased blood count. No reason found for his symptoms but no further thinking was done and we were discharged with orders for non emergent follow up. After returning home, his regular MD sent him to the local ER where a large bilateral subdural hematoma was found and he had emergency surgery. This is not a diagnosis an ER should miss. Feel the lack of Physician care should make you avoid this location. read more

Worst experience of my life. I work in a hospital and I understand during a time like this with the pandemic it is not easy. I went to this hospital because my boyfriend was diagnosed with Covid and he was getting worse and worse everyday. He had not eaten in 5 days because he would throw up. I couldn't go in because they did mot allow guest which I understood. After three hours I went inside to check the status because my boyfriend wasn't answering and the rude guy at the front desk says "does he not have his phone one him?" Sir if he was answering I wouldn't be in here so I kindly responded that he was not answering. Then he goes back to the nurses station and all I hear her say is he is 27 years old there isn't much I can do. So I guess you symptoms are use less if you aren't a certain age. He told the nurse about chest pain.. didn't even bother doing an EKG. Just listened to it and said he was fine. I asked the guy in the front desk if he was able to eat anything without throwing up and I told him he hasn't been able to eat in 5 days which why I was asking and he responds "well they are discharging him so I guess you can take him to eat". I repeat he hasn't been able to hold anything down and he says again well he's being discharged so I guess there will be instruction. These people don't give a shit about how people are feeling. I haven't slept in days because of how bad he has been and these people have no type of empathy. Again I'm in the healthcare system myself I know it's been overwhelming but never have I not put myself in my patients shoes. If you can stay away from this place than please do. I rather pay I real hospital then come back here. read more

Recently my husband had an emergency while we were vacationing in Orlando. A piece of wood skewered his foot. We were staying right up the street and paramedics brought him to Hunter's Creek ER. The staff was incredible. Everyone we dealt with was kind and compassionate. The doctor had several x-rays taken and consulted with a trauma doctor to be sure of the best way to remove the wood without causing further damage. We were extremely pleased with the care he received and would highly recommend Hunter's Creek to anyone. I live in the Tampa area and was on a mini vacation in Orlando. My son had a cough and I gave him medicine. A few minutes later he broke out in hives, his tongue swelled, his voice was hoarse and he was not breathing correctly. I rushed him to this facility after I Googled nearest Urgi Care Center. We were inside within minutes. Another ten minutes passed and he was given medication. They took chest x-rays right away. They took such good care of him. From the nurses, to the Physicians assistant, even the woman that took my insurance co-payment was extremely pleasant. I was in and out with his hives gone, breathing correctly, no coughing, and a few prescriptions to take home within 2 hours. Most of that time was him just being observed to make sure he was good before they discharged him. I know you can't satisfy everyone. I am a physician and a surgeon. My family has the unfortunate circumstance of living near this stand alone emergency room. My mother was hit by a car and for some reason, a trauma patient was brought to this joke of a facility. As an extension of Osceola Regional Hospital, I suppose the thought is that this facility has the capacity of a regular hospital because I suppose they could transfer a patient if needed, with obvious delays. My mother had a CT that showed an unstable trimalleolar ankle fracture, which foot and ankle specialists have since reviewed and demonstrated shock that she was not immediately offered surgery. Why was she not? Probably because an unqualified ER physician of some variety with no capacity to consult with an orthopedist, because this is not a hospital but just a podunk extension of one, decided to inappropriately place her into a fracture boot and send her home with a referral- someone who she couldnt get in to see for days. She did not have the needed surgery and now limps around with a ankle that has fused in inappropriate ways. Lifelong pain. Another sad story? A friend had a family member with chest pain brought here- turns out he was having a heart attack. That friend's family member died. Is it Hunter's Creek ER that is the problem? Is it Osceala Medical Center having this "ER" next door to our neighborhood, when the actual hospital is just down the road? Is it EMS taking inappropriate patients to the ER and dropping them off when they should have been taken to a real hospital? Is it Hunter's Creek ER accepting inappropriate patients when they should defer and tell EMS to take them to a higher level of care directly? I don't know. But why a trauma patient (my mother) and why a patient having a heart attack who died in this supposed "ER" were ever taken to a facility which only delays or blocks appropriate care is beyond me. This place should not exist. In reality, it is an urgent care with a CT scanner. A nurse practitioner with an xray replaced by a ED doctor with a CT scanner, but no attached hospital to consult with an orthopedist or cardiologist when urgently needed. Sad, disgraceful, and I hope it burns to the ground. Be smart and tell EMS to take you to Florida Hospital or the actual Osceola Hospital , and avoid this dump if there's any chance you're having a true emergency. read more

This place should be closed down. It doesn't even deserve a star. Starting from the hot and stuffy waiting room, ridiculous wait time, two separate ER wings where if you're not experiencing a life or death condition you will be pushed to the side. Triage nurse was rude telling people to move and when asked how long the wait time was her response was "a lot" with a sarcastic attitude. The worst thing is that this place of anything can be compared to a pathetic urgent care but some brilliant person in the board decided to put ER in the name to charge you even more. I'm serious it's better to make the extra drive to a Care Spot or Centra Care if not to Florida Hospital Kissimmee, Downtown or Dr. Phillips. I hope someone in this company reads this and at least consider evaluating this place or closing it down all together. read more

My 5 year old stepped on lead pencil, I was concerned about retained foreign body, took her to Hunter creek ER, they did a foot x-ray, found no evidence of retained foreign body. They put a Band-Aid on it and with in an hour we came back home . I got medial bill of $3000 from Osceola Regional Medical Center. After weeks of negotiation we settled for $1200. read more

If I could give negative stars, I would. Cut my finger at home cooking, and went to ER. However, the cut was not deep enough for anything so they asked me to wash my hands and gave me a bandage. My bill was almost 4k for this. Charged by them AND Osceola Regional separately since they do billing with them. This bill is beyond excessive and even my insurance estimated it should've been no more than 250$ out of pocket. This is my second time getting screwed by this place. I will never return. read more
