I've been to the university several times, for graduation ceremonies, and to help cousins move into their dorms and moving out. The school is very easy to navigate. There's clear signs all throughout, and the parking lots of heavenly lit at night. There's always onsite security cruising around, which is a plus and gives that extra layer of protection that you, and your family who are attending are safe. The events, and student get togethers that I so often hear about are all planned by the student council, and they always seem well organized and though out, and fun might I add! You can always find something going on at the campus, planned and hosted by the students themselves. Emily, loves it here. She's forever ranting and raving about the events, meetings, after school events, bake sales, culture nights etc. All of which she helps to plan as she's the head of the student council. If you're a parent thinking to send your child here to further their education, no need to think twice. It's a great private school. The beautiful and historic Dutch estate has been ranked as a top schools in the US for many years in a row. You and your child will love and appreciate the history Hofstra has.

He enjoys working with the tutors, stays engaged, and responds really well to their teaching style and encouragement. For us, the benefits have gone beyond simply improving his math skills. Mathnasium has also been a great opportunity for him to practice focus, independence, confidence, following directions, and working with different instructors. I really appreciate having a structured and supportive setting where he can be challenged academically while also building skills that carry over into school and everyday life. The tutors are patient, encouraging, and know how to keep him motivated. From a parent's perspective, I feel like Mathnasium has been a great addition to his overall development, not just his math education. Kavita is great she really takes her time and sits with kids. They have a lot of HS age tutors that sit in a table with couple of kids and help them either together or separately. The part time classes are held in a cold basement not in the beautiful classroom that you see when you walk in. They don't disinfect their facial steamers (please see pic), Every teacher teaches a different method so it's very difficult to learn. There is no real student cafeteria. The vending machines don't work. They have 2 microwaves for 50 students to share on a 30 min lunch break. You're not allowed to use machines( they don't have any and at one point we were allowed to bring in our own, till they told us we couldn't one day out of the blue) so you'll never learn how to use them in the real world. This school is a total disaster, disorganized and a total waste of time & money. Find a better school because this is NOT a real educational institution. All they want is your money and they don't care about the students. On my first day all I heard were complaints from the older students. Day 2 I spoke with the administrators and informed them that I wanted to leave their program. They lied and told me that they were "working on the issues". 2 months later our teacher quit and our class had no official teacher. This place is run like a zoo!

I enrolled my kid to this center because I trusted the fact that this center expanded the business in this area quite successfully. However, when I toured the center, I was not very happy when I looked at the faces of kids and staff. They didn't look very happy nor enjoy their job. Furthermore, I realized that this place is too pricey compared to the other daycares in the neighborhood. So in the end, I decided to withdraw my kid's enrollment. I visited the center and explained why I made such a decision. At that time the staff promised me that I would get a check for the first month's tuition, because, at the time of enrollment, I have already paid $150 + first month's tuition ($1195). Again, the staff told me that I can get it back and the reason why she cannot give it right away is because she does not have the checkbook. The staff talked about bad things about the school to which I am switching, which sounded not nice, but I did not take it seriously. She also mentioned that there was a policy that I should have notified them 45 days in advance, strictly speaking. I notified them 30 before the first day of school. So I understood that and I greatly appreciated their kind considerations. BUT, I did not receive the check for a month, and I have sent an email to remind that. The response I got was simple enough, "No, you cannot get a check. The owner decided not to do that." WHAT?? They just ate up my $1195 because I was late for 15 days to notify them. I can totally understand if they take out part of that money, but I cannot understand that they took all of it. Even more importantly, in that response, the staff mentioned that the owner called me and explained the situation. NO!! It never happened. The owner did not give me a call and I did not know the situation before "I" asked them. I courteously replied back if there is any possibility for a partial refund and explained that I have never received a call from the owner. That was it! They never responded back to me. I cannot trust their business. It seems to me that they only take care of their profits and tries to get out of money as much as possible. They never considered me as a future family even though I could send my kids to their summer camps or after-school care. I pass the center every morning and afternoon and see a lot of cars in there. Every time, I get very annoyed by their attitude to me, and I will never consider this place as one of my future childcare.

They keep on charging you after you want to cancel. They also have a gimmick where you must email them to cancel, even after you told their front desk you want to cancel.
