This restaurant is a unique restaurant. Free parking. When you're seated a waiter/waitress will come over welcome you and explain everything to you. They provide you with a tablet that you do all of your ordering on. If you have any questions or problems there's a call waiter button you can press to have your server come back. Once you order and your food is ready a robot will deliver your food to your table you'll grab your plate off the serving tray and press the button to send the robot back to the kitchen. While you're sitting waiting for your food there's a conveyor belt with small plates of food like fruit, spring rolls and more. The prices are on the menu for the coneyor items, and their picture and name is on the coneyor belt. The food is delicious and plentiful. They have a nice durable tote bag for leftover foods to be carried in. Note - they do have a discount program so pay attention to the 2 prices and the discount program isn't free. read more

Let me start by stating the obvious, this restaurant was definitely created for the Gram! There are many places within the restaurant that are photo-worthy. I went here for my partner's birthday. There was a long wait, but thankfully, you can keep track of your position on your phone, so you can leave the premises to kill some time. I did use the restroom while waiting, it was clean and cute with gold stalls and accents. For dinner, I ordered the Mongolian build your own plate and Thai Tea while my partner ordered the Chicken Lo Mein. Watching the sushi go around was cute, but I wondered how long some of them stay on, considering the beltline is warm. Each item is $3.99. For my partner's birthday, the robot came out singing and brought a complimentary scoop of strawberry ice cream with whipped cream. This was perfect for him, since he doesn't like attention. Now to the food... Thai Tea - delicious, did not disappoint. Interesting touch putting into a copper mule cup. - A+ Mongolian with Tofu and Udon Noodles, very tasty. I was concerned because I chose some seasonings and sauces that I wasn't sure would go well together. But thankfully, it came out delicious. What an interesting concept. You can get just about anything you could want here. The decor inside is very nice and welcoming. The menu may leave you with a case of indecisiveness. But at that point, just get two or three things. The prices are affordable which is something you don't see very often. My friend and I ordered the Bulgogi Beef Fried Rice w/ Kimchi, Teriyaki Chicken Plate, Edamame, Chicken Karaage, and the Ferry When Sushi Roll. Of course we ended up with leftovers to enjoy for lunch the next day. I will say, the food isn't the most authentic as if you were to go to those mom and pop shops but it still hits when your in the mood for a specific type of cuisine. I like this place. I like the ambiance. It's very cool. Especially if you're kicking it solo like I do. The food is okay. The only thing I don't like about this place is the service. Less than excellent. It seems to be a bunch of young people who are immature and don't take customer service professionally. And I hate that. When I want a dine in experience, I want a warm atmosphere that includes great customer service as well. The host is horrible. There is no warm greeting or "Thank you" as you're leaving. No attentiveness from the host at all. You might even get a crazy look as you walk in and just stand there. The waiter/waitress usually could care less. They just want a tip. Half of the time they act like they don't want to be bothered, especially if you want a refill. I noticed the manager there. He seems unserious too. . . A few (maybe two out of all the times I've been) of them were cool. The rest of the staff just seem unprofessional and young. read more

This came up on my Yelp suggestions and as soon as I saw that they had a rotating sushi bar I knew I had to come because it reminded me of what I'm used to back home in Washington state. So I decided to come treat myself for a little solo lunch date. I ended up with four different plates from the rotating sushi bar and I ordered 5 lemon pepper wings, some kind of tuna that I can't remember, a cocktail and a grapefruit green tea without any extra balls or anything like that. Out of everything that I had, my favorites were the grapefruit green tea. It was very refreshing. I really loved them lemon pepper wings. They were fried to the Gods thank you! And I wish I could remember the names of the things that I had off of the rotating bar but the roll with the tuna and mayo and rice, that's pretty simple is one of my favorites and then I think I got a dragon roll as well. But honestly for the price and the value, I would definitely come back. I enjoyed everything that I had. Parking was super easy and there was plenty of it. It was very scarce on a Monday afternoon, which is to be expected and they did have some happy hour specials. Overall, I spent less than $50 including a cocktail but not including tip and I don't think that's very bad at all considering the variety of dishes that I got. I had a little bit of trouble with the little tablet they give you to order from but once you send the order to the kitchen, the food comes out really fast and I love that they have the little robot machines and the little train that brings your item you ordered around it's really cute. We went here today for our after football game meal. My son rated it an 8 out of 10. Not sure if it was just our table/tablet/server but there seem to be a few kinks they need to work out with the robots. Mainly our food took off twice before we could grab it from the conveyor belt above the table because you almost have to stand up to get it. There was also a mix up with our sushi order and we had to go back and forth with the manager and show pictures to prove we didn't in fact get the sushi we ordered as we were not partaking in the revolving sushi as some of it looked like it may have been revolving ALL day when we sat down at 3:30pm. We sat for about an hour and a half and by the time we left it had gotten busier and you could def tell more fresh sushi was being placed in the revolving sushi station. We liked the overall ambiance and decor and will give it one more try as there were a few menu items we didn't get to try. The only thing we ordered that we did not like at all was the chicken katsu. Extremely disappointed coming here for the first time. I got the lunch bulgogi fried rice and my mother got the steak, shrimp and pork hibachi. Although the rice had a good flavor it had absolutely no bulgogi in it. It had a silver of meat in it. I couldn't even tell if it tasted like bulgogi or not. My mom said the hibachi steak in particular had meat that wasn't good quality. She didn't even bring her leftovers home. She never does that. Sweet tea was light brown sweeten water. I would like to start by saying that this is a very long review- but my hope is that this place recognizes why they have lost what would have been a longtime loyal customer. I have very rarely left this bad of a review but this company should at least know why they lose customers. When I walked in I immediately recognized the restaurant appeared to be extremely clean and had a really cool atmosphere. Our waitress was extremely friendly and attentive. I knew going in that since I am not a fan of sushi- I would not be eating from their standard menu. I was going there because my family loves sushi. They were happy with their food and initial experience. The problem started due to my order. (They were completely done eating by time I received my plate which took an extremely long time..but again this was my choice to order from menu- so I was frustrated with how long it took but that was not enough to cause me to complain) The issue is this. I immediately went to the hamburger section of the menu. They had a burger called "The Smoky Crown". I will attach photos of the menu. The burger comes with an egg and bacon on it. Nice..right? There is even an option to add "extra burger beef".. extra bacon..extra cheese..extra egg, etc. Since I wasn't that hungry I opted not to. Forever later my plate arrives...only instead of a Hamburger it was a bacon and egg Sandwich...no burger. I wait for the waitress to come and I say "they forgot to put my burger on my sandwich " and she responds by saying "I saw that and asked- they said that it does not come with a burger on it- that is very confusing but that's what I was told"... so I say "I have been waiting a long time and I don't want a bacon and egg sandwich I wanted a hamburger as it was titled" I continue to ask her to just take it back and remove it from our ticket. She returns and said the manager would not allow her to do that. I pay the bill and ask for the manager. Mark approaches me...doesn't say a single word. Just stands there as if waiting for me to start- so I politely point out how misleading this item is on the menu- he literally shrugs and still nothing. I then ask "what is your name? Are you the manager? " he responds that he is "a" manager and gives me his name. I then tell him just how disrespectful it is to a customer (especially a NEW customer) to not even acknowledge this issue. I pointed out that I had already paid and this has nothing to do with the money- it is more about at least acknowledging the issue. He literally shrugs and stands there. I point out that we loved the concept and was excited to have found this place and that due to their lack of concern over a customer's experience- we would never return..again just a blank stare. I hope that this LONG review will at least reach someone and show the lack of concern this place has for their customers. The item is listed completely wrong on the menu. All it would take is for them (at the very least) to have acknowledged that and apologized...anything other than a shrug. (Note- the waitress literally said that she was confused by it- so she had to ask where the burger was) yet the manager showed zero interest or respect. I will not only not return I will do my best to let others know of their lack of customer care. read more

I definitely enjoyed my experience. One of the things I would continuously go back to get the spicy Ramen. It was delicious and unforgettable. The flavors were on point the customer service she checked on me frequently and I appreciated that and I love the new technology of how you order everything from a tablet and the little robot brings it to you. This place is a new hidden gem for the Southside! I came to Hungry Station as I was in the mood for some sushi at a new location. They didn't disappoint! I ordered the edamame, a Bagel Specialty Roll, a Dynamite Specialty Roll, and a Ferry Wheel Roll. All three were amazing! The sushi was also very affordable. I'm used to going to places and spending way much more on less food, so I'm so excited that we have this in McDonough now! The place is also gorgeous! It's decorated beautifully, there's a sushi conveyor belt, and plenty of tables. I loved this place as soon as I walked in the door. I had a taste for fresh sushi and wanted to dine in a beautiful place with a very relaxing atmosphere, and that's what I received and more. We ordered both from the menu and the revolving sushi bar. I made sure I was hungry before I got there, hence the name Hungry Station. The sushi was what I expected; it was very fresh, and the selection of sushi was the highlight. There was so much to choose from. I ate a lot of sushi. We also ordered the chicken fried rice, hot bun, fries, and lemon pepper chicken wings. The hot bun was absolutely delicious. I could have gone for another round of buns. But I looked at how crispy and seasoned the wings were, and I just had to make room for them. We did, however, order a second round of wings to take home, and ordered a different bun, the pork buns. On the way out, so much caught my eye that I took time to walk around. I noticed the Ferris wheel, which is so pretty. I also saw the bar all lit up and pretty. I have to say the night was made perfect by the service, food, and atmosphere. We went there with high expectations and received that and more! I just had to say that again! read more

The food here is way too expensive for the quality you receive. If you want good revolving sushi PLEASE go to Kura revolving sushi bar. The sushi is warm off the conveyor belt and flavorless. Not to mention the plates stay on your table until you check out. The service is alright, you barely get server interaction as they rely on robot deliveries to table. You have to request water refills on IPad they leave on table, which takes forever btw. Overall the inside is gorgeous but personally it is not worth the money. read more

Service here is the worst service I've ever experienced. First you wait an eternity to even get acknowledged, once we did we got sat down to get ignored even more. My husband and I decided to enjoy a quiet evening at home this Valentine's Day rather than fight the crowds, as he was preparing to teach a church class on Sunday and I'm studying for an upcoming certification exam. We ordered takeout from Hungry Station in McDonough. I requested a Mongolian Bowl with chicken and shrimp, vegetables, and Mongolian sauce, along with vegetable spring rolls. When my husband brought the food home, the portion was generous enough for two servings, so I split it -- only to discover that beef had been added to my order. I have not eaten beef since 1990, long before my husband and I were married, and he has never known me to eat it. I'm certain the order was placed correctly and prepared incorrectly by the restaurant. It was already after 9:30 p.m. and I was hungry, but I had to drive more than 10 miles back to the restaurant myself to resolve the issue. When I explained the situation to the manager, Julia, I simply asked if she would swap the steamed rice for fried rice as compensation for my trouble, since the mistake was clearly on their end. She refused and instead offered additional spring rolls -- which I had already ordered and left behind. She would not accommodate my request in any way and handed me a cheap artificial flower instead, which was promptly discarded. To make matters worse, the replacement bowl lacked sauce and had very few vegetables. The spring rolls I originally ordered were also terrible, and I was glad I declined the additional ones she offered. I have visited this restaurant a few times in the past but based on this experience -- both the poor food quality and disappointing customer service -- I will not be returning. read more

First time trying this new restaurant. The decor is beautiful and the restaurant is nice and spacious.....love the rotating sushi. But the customer service and food need work. Ordered chicken teriyaki plate and instead of using chicken cubes they used the same sliced chicken that they use for chicken with broccoli or chicken fried rice. Teriyaki sauce was so light that I could not taste it at all. Ordered a shrimp tempura sushi roll.....it never made it to the table. Had to ask the Asian woman server what happened to my sushi order. Beverages don't get refilled unless you ask. Overall the menu is underwhelming. Ordered the shrimp gyoza....arrived to the table full of grease because they didn't bother to drain it after they took it out of the oil.
