Am I crazy or is this super soft, fresh, cheesy and utterly divine bread actually the world's most delicious food? It's worth visiting just to get some of this wonderful yumminess in your mouth. Ask for as many extra servings as you like and enjoy! One of the other great things about Sizzler is that for a few dollars more than the salad bar you can get a full pub like meal as well. I opted for the Malibu beef burger and hubby had the Fishermans platter. Both were decent fare, made great with the fresh salads and pastas of the accompanying buffet. There is also a nacho/taco bar, potato skins, soups, fresh fruit and desserts to choose from to add to your stomachs delight. Food is fresh, cheap and cheerful and sure to satisfy fussy eaters (though perhaps not gourmets). If anything the decor has become more fresh and inviting than previous incarnations and the staff, as always, are friendly, swift and fantastic. The environment is very family friendly: upbeat and jovial with the wonderful background hum only found within the comfortable confines of such an unpretentious, homely place. Once you park you just take the elevator up and find the restaurant on the outside of the plaza. There is usually a worker outside that can answer questions or show you the menu. Inside the decor is very cute and open and the staff are all so friendly and welcoming. The Betty's Classic Stack is by far my favorite burger! It's a mixture of their classic burger and their shroom burger. The thick shakes are incredible as well. The strawberry one is my favorite! Like most restaurants in Broadbeach, it has both indoor and outdoor seating, and the setting is casual and relaxed. There's a reasonable selection of typical rice and noodle dishes to choose from the menu as well as a selection of already cooked dishes in the bain marie. But whenever I come here, I typically go for the beef curry soup noodle, which is curry beef taken from their bain marie, mixed with some kind of stock and thrown together with egg noodles and fresh veggies consisting mainly of coriander and bean shoots. The curry is quite delicious and sufficiently spicy (you can ask for hot...or mild or medium depending on your preference) and pretty satisfying quantity wise. And while the beef curry soup noodle is typically all I consume here, based on people I bring with me, the other dishes (such as pad thai) are equally as delicious.
