He didn't seem to know what I wanted and kept asking, so I had to tell him I needed a fade and showed him pictures for reference. He was way too rough the whole time. Every time he combed around my ears it hurt, and the clippers hurt my ears too. I literally pulled back my head because it was hurting so much as he combed down to my ears. Did he really not notice the way my face was in pain??? Bro needs to be a lot more gentle with everything. I had to remind in at the end to line up the front because he forgot...After the cut he refused to wash my hair because he "didn't have time." How is that my fault? If he couldn't finish in time to do the wash, that's on him, not me. He also didn't clean me up at all. I walked out with hair all over my face, in my ears and on my shoes. I was cleaning the hair from my neck with the mirror and he just ignores me and asks for money already . On top of that he barely said a word and had a bad attitude the whole time. Is small talk really that hard. The shop itself seems fine, it's just him. Didn't even offer water like his other co workers did for their clients. Basics aren't even done right. Haircut for that price and attitude is insane. Jesus maybe the reviews on yelp were bots cuz it's really not that good LOL. Would give a 0 if that's an option.

What followed was one of the lesser customer experiences I've had in a long time. I communicated numerous times that both sides were uneven/incomplete and required rework. Eventually what I was saying got dismissed entirely and was told if I wanted a fade, I should've went to George. I've been a pretty loyal customer the last 2 years but that ended after the interaction I had today. My expectation for the barber was 1) to be able to execute a standard skin fade 2) recognize incomplete work 3) implore new customers to sit in their chair. None of these boxes were checked. The only positive experience was that he refused my payment. I went down the street to The Little Italy Barbery to validate the poor experience I received. They confirmed the job was half done and fixed my hair in less than 15 minutes. If you are already loyal to barbers at Vince's, this review isn't for you. He knows all of his clients by name, learns their preferences and truly "sells confidence." They just can't compete with the cut or family that he engenders with his business. I personally get my hair cut by Andy or Kandice, but you can't go wrong with anyone on his team. I would have gone somewhere else. Instead, they assigned me to someone who clearly did not have the skills to perform this basic haircut. The lack of professionalism extended to the front desk. The young receptionist was dressed in what looked like boy-short underwear rather than appropriate work clothing, with much of her backside exposed. Completely inappropriate and unprofessional for someone working at the reception desk of a business. Bad haircut, lost earring, poor judgment, and an extremely unprofessional atmosphere.
