You people deal with peoples lives, take it more seriously and do your job and answer the phone. When I had a job that was one of the number one things that our staff would do, if the phone rings you answer it because you don't know who's calling and how much they need your help.

If there is one complaint I have, then it would be the fact they moved the welfare office in the same building recently, and it's been a real zoo at times when you need to just hand in weekly paperwork, and you got vagrants and weirdos hanging around the area, or raising hell with the poor receptionist just trying to do her job. Every time I call, it's someone brand new. Employers don't take them seriously, and almost never schedule an interview with one of their applicants. And Express in turn aggressively discourages following up. They always promise to call you back... which never, EVER happens. No matter how many times they promise a return phone call, don't count on it. It's up to you to hold their hand. DO NOT hold your breath, whatever you do. I'm honestly not sure how much longer their doors will remain open.

They had called me, and wanted me to take some tests and have an interview with them. I came down via greyhound bus to meet with them (and to also spend time with my fiance, now wife). I went beck to Iowa after meeting with them. Several weeks later they said they had something that might fit my skills and experience, and that it could very well be a long term/direct hire type job, which is what I wanted. I packed everything that could fit in my car, and moved down here. They had me at KBC, which is in the Springfield Underground. Unbeknownst to me KBC was only looking for people to help with a couple huge jobs they had, then planned on letting those they hired through Kelly Service go after it was finished. a month and a half into working there, I get a call from Kelly Services saying the job was over, and they didn't have anything else. After bugging the heck out of them the following weeks, they had me at a couple day labor jobs, then never heard another word from them. They seem to be more office employee oriented, and just thought they would dabble a bit in manufacturing jobs because they never again had any factory jobs for me. To me they were very unprofessional in that aspect, because I felt like the only way to get word from them was by repeatedly calling them. This left me in a bind as I was now down here in Springfield with no job, unfamiliar with this new town, and not sure what to do next. I wouldn't say they were entirely worthless, since they seemed to have plenty of office jobs for folks, and day labor jobs, but they did leave a bad taste in my mouth, and put me in a tight spot. I wouldn't recommend them for factory work. I hope in the future they get their act together though. I honestly felt they were not trying very hard for me.

I would not People Ready to anyone!!! I scheduled 3 men to help me move for Saturday, 3 days prior…read moreon Wednesday. Spoke to the same person Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday. I signed an agreement for the help. At no time was I notified there was a problem. Saturday morning at 7:15am I received a call to notify me no one was coming to help me move. The workers were scheduled for 8:00am to show up. No offer to reschedule or send workers later today. I was left high & dry. I was told to try Kelly Services instead. Jelly Services are not open on the weekend. Never again!!!
