Roman the Project Manager was punctual and clearly explained what would be necessary to complete this project. His crew were on time, tidy and in good spirits. We were so impressed on the quality of work on the first project that we have hired them to work on a second project involving a claim with our insurance company! Roman was happy to meet with the Claim's Handler even on short notice. Needless to say, I would highly recommend A to Z Remodelers and Builders.

Once you are provided a quote, that is what you pay (unless you add on and then that pricing is provided and stuck to as well.) The team is courteous & incredibly neat. If any subcontracting is required, they handle it start to finish and those teams are meticulous as well. Response time to questions is low, almost immediate. I am extremely happy with the results. I have had this company completely remodel my kitchen (to include wall removal, new cabinets, new countertops, new flooring) and extend my roofline, put on new shingles and new siding. Will use again. Highly recommend.

Now onto the the actual work. I contacted them months ago for some estimates and Jim/Virgil was great to work with. He came out as requested and gave fair estimates for both drywall work, replacement stairs, and ceiling work. He even came out a second time to give an estimate for some replacement siding. The drywall crew consisted of two guys who spent a few days working on a small section in the basement, they made sure to make things look their best and did a decent job cleaning up each night. They were polite and always listening to my feedback. 5 stars there. The siding guy came out and replacement some cedar shakes on the side of the house that were missing from an old deck removal. He did a great job and cleaned up the worksite very nice. I was impressed with the speed. Again 5 stars. Jim himself came out for the ceiling work, he did a great job hooking up the electric and making sure the panels lined up to the existing grid. Again 5 stars. My only gripe was the billing, Their online system worked, but I think some deposits I made were just lost. Regardless they eventually took care of it... so updating my review to reflect this. Thank you, I for sure recommend them for contracting work, just double check the bills before paying. =)

I came across Carl's Wood Flooring after blanket searching Yelp and Google for local flooring…read morecontractors. After meeting and receiving quotes from several contractors, Carl came by our house to do the evaluation. He showed up exactly when he said he would and even brought by pictures of previous work and color samples to review without us asking specifically for them. He impressed me with his knowledge and passion for each type of wood, as our house is a little patchwork with the species, and took the time to explain each in detail. He walked the entire house with us, thoroughly inspecting each room, closet, nook and corner. We had a ton of questions about the color, areas of high traffic, and damage repair to several rooms. He met each question head-on and provided us with confidence in his experience and craftsmanship. We also had a very worn main staircase which he was very enthusiastic about tackling. We agreed on expectations, timing, and a quote was signed before he left the property. Carl had a job reschedule which allowed him to start almost immediately after his visit for quote. He estimated that work would start on Monday morning and would be wrapped by by Friday evening. Not only did he start on Monday morning as expected, but he made time in his schedule to come by one night which allowed the timeline to shrink by one day. He was wrapped up and out of the house by Thursday afternoon. As expected, Carl (and Dave) did an excellent job restoring the floors and staircase in our 80yr old home. They worked so clean that we had to search the walls and trim for any sign of dust. Their attention to detail and ability to repair damage is very impressive. We tried to find a sign of repair in two very badly damaged section and were unable to find any trace! All of the floors, regardless of species, came out even in color, texture, and finish. He recommended an only-based satin finish which looks like a million bucks! The staircase, which is a center focal point of the home, looks absolutely amazing as well. I think the pictures speak for themselves but we are extremely happy to have worked with Carl on this project and I recommend you invite him to review and quote out your next project.
