The Costa coffee store brand in Northern Ireland has a similar business model so it's much more common to find a Costa out of town; Starbucks not so much. So this place on the outskirts of Longford town is very close to a drive-thru Mc D and a few bargain stores. The whole area is drab and the upshot is if you want a cheap coffee that's not particularly good you can pay just over 2 euro at Mc D where the staff are lousy paid or go here for about 4 euro where the staff are equally lousy paid. My choice is the latter as the product is far superior and leave a tip. With Covid, a virus 10,000 times smaller than a grain of salt, queues and one door in one door out have become common as are face masks and hand sanitiser and here was no different despite being out of town. I queued here about 10 minutes. They supplied the sanitiser and the delightful young staff were eager to keep the store clean. Preferred payments now like so many places are card not cash.

Not only can you get very reasonably priced organics (veg, fruits, cooking oils, canned foods, boxed foods, etc), but they also have the absolute best coffee in the area. And if you have a sweet tooth, you'll find wonderful cakes, cupcakes, scones, etc. They also serve homemade vegetable soup daily. I've also noticed that kids love this place. They do offer colouring items for the kiddies and they have a nice two-seater couch available to relax on in addition to their indoor seating. This summer promises cold salads and other goodies. It's also a good place to purchase locally-made arts and crafts. Right now they have a book club and there's talk of some cooking demonstrations coming up. It's definitely a wonderful place. They don't overprice their items and are much cheaper than other organic shops. Definitely stop in and have a nice treat or pick up some groceries!

When I…read moreapproached their stand, I was trying to take in the various products available, and I was suddenly faced with a gorgeous little sliver of cheese, presented on knife, for me to taste. "How nice!" I thought. It was a strong, aged cheddar that had nice, rich, lingering taste. I appreciated the introduction, but I'd already decided to pick up the €5 sampler packet. As I was asking about payment, I was presented with another sample - and another! Not just perfect, tasty little introductions to their cheeses, mind you, but also a description of each. I was absolutely wooed, and in the end, in addition to the sampler package, I also bought a full-sized sheep cheese to share with colleagues this week, and a jewel-like little version of their sherry jelly. I hope to learn more and post more about where you can find Corleggy Cheeses, etc., but for now, all I can say is that I'm already a fan.
