We always have different doctors, even after being assigned a particular doctor, which is acceptable at times. The vast array of experience, or lack thereof, is not the only problem; it is the inconsiderate wait times. We have waited over 4 hours to see a doctor. It is not unusual. For example, if they said one and a half hours, we knew that meant more to see the others before us.to wait an excessive, inconsiderate amount of time to be seen with an appointment at Cascades East. About a year ago, when we would arrive for our appointment, we started asking how far behind the doctor was. For example, if they said one and a half hours, we knew that meant more time to see the others before us, and we request to be rescheduled. They need to learn how to be effective in the assigned appointment time. If patients with the same issue start asking how far behind they are and rescheduling, if needed, they will get the hint to train the new doctors better. Although some people have free time to wait, we are packed with appointments for up to 12 people. Years ago, I even talked with a supervisor and mentioned that they are teaching these new two-year term doctors to disregard a patient's time. They need to learn how to be effective in the assigned appointment time. If others with the same issue start asking how far behind they are and rescheduling if needed, they will get the hint to train the new doctors to use our appointment times wisely. Klamath Open Door has repeatedly and for many years always been respectful of our time. There is even a sign posted that says to let them know if you have waited more than 15 minutes. After the experiences I've had in the past two months (April, May 3025) I'd need clear and convincing evidence to use anything *but* Sky Lakes. I witnessed repeated professional courtesies between all the staff, not just nurse to nurse. It was the first time I ever heard an RN personality thank a kitchen worker for bringing up a second supper tray for a patient whose appetite was coming back. I saw the RNs get some good advice from a CNA and used it -- they too thanked him. Those are all signs of a healthy professional relationship between colleagues, not simply peers.
