Since that time, he has worked with me with other fosters and now my 6-month old puppy. I have had dogs my whole life but after one afternoon working with Charles, I learned a new (and better) way to interact with them which has relieved some of the anxiety and stress that comes from owning a reactive dog. Charles calm demeanor and empathetic style of teaching is exactly what most dogs (and owners) need. I especially recommend enlisting Charles help if you have attended those pet store training classes that award you certificates but you still have a dog that doesn't listen, has poor recall, or is reactive on walks. Best of all, Charles has classes outdoors in real world environments where we actually exist with our dogs.

I wasn't sure if I should board him, do short lessons, or classes. I didn't know what training he needed or anything really! I found Maddie and during the consultation she made me feel so much more at ease about everything. She gave us so much amazing information and helped us set up a solid training plan! Sending your baby away with someone can be really nerve wracking but she is so knowledgeable and passionate that I knew it would be okay. She gave me daily updates, whether it was silly photos of him having some play time or showing me videos of him training! He was clearly having a fantastic time and it eased that anxiety of him being away from home. When he came home he was ecstatic to see us but I could tell there was a distinct difference once he calmed down. It was clear Maddie put a lot of time and effort into him, and he absolutely loves her!! When she brought out his training tools he got soo excited!! She took her time throughly going over all the different things they learned during their time together. It's definitely a lot but she is so great at explaining it and showing you how to do everything to be successful!! The training has given him more confidence, less anxiety, and more fulfillment. I cannot recommend Maddie enough for any training needs you have whether your furbaby is young or old. Seriously she is so dedicated and amazing at what she does. This is an investment not just for you, but for your furbabies happiness. So... don't hesitate. Reach out to her and get set up!! We know you'll adore her just as much as we do. (Especially Chief!)

We are so grateful to have found Kelsey! We have been working with Kelsey since our rescue puppy,…read moreMaverick, was 9 weeks old. He is now 5 months old! From her offerings, we chose private virtual sessions, the bimonthly puppy afterschool sessions and signed up for her membership which gives us great training videos and access to the monthly meet ups as well as the monthly q&a. I highly suggest the private virtual sessions, they were a game changer for us. Kelsey is an AMAZING positive reinforcement trainer. I would give her more than 5 stars, and think everyone could benefit from working with her - especially anyone with a puppy! She has a wealth of knowledge in dog behavior and focuses first and foremost in this area. Her training videos and 1:1 direction literally, and I mean literally, helped me so much during some really challenging moments with Maverick. She also took the time to give us tips and ideas between sessions. I was sure we had the bitiest puppy that ever lived..he was literally a little shark running mouth first! Let's just say that Kelsey went above and beyond to help us here. Setting Maverick up with the right foundation through Kelsey's guidance has made all the difference and he's thriving today. He does great with other dogs, kids, adults. Next step, trying to get our cat to love him as much as we do! Thank you Kelsey, you ROCK!

She did an amazing job with socialization and basic training. I am immensely thankful for the solid foundation because my puppy is very important - she is a service dog in training. I couldn't have asked for a better person to raise my puppy. Teaching my puppy new behaviors is a breeze because her foundation with Kelsey set her up to be attentive and patient. In the past two months since bringing my puppy home we have been working with Kelsey each week in group classes as well as private and one-on-one sessions. I will continue working with Kelsey throughout our training. She is above all an observant and knowledgeable trainer, and very pleasant to work with.

She is crazy smart, our dog, but also high energy and was bowling over the other (smaller) dogs. I thought I had a good handle on every-day dog training but I was mistaken! In a single lesson, I knew this was a great plan and worth every cent and every minute we spent working between lessons. More than that, though, she gave us suggestions and assistance with the other dogs, since they are part of the household and were part of Essie's needs. I 100% recommend this trainer and have no regrets at all.

Fifi and I were matched with Meredith. Together we chose the Board and Train Camp which included on-leash obedience level 1 and off-leash obedience 2. Meredith is a highly skilled dog trainer with impressive credentials. She has some kinda magical powers over dogs. But, what I liked most is she understood my Fifi's personality and capabilities. . I knew Fifi was in good hands and would be safe during her time away from me. Fifi was returned to me with a solid, SOLID, set of skills. She also is confident, brave and excited to join my daily excursions. We are able to understand each other's language and now we work together very easily. We are very grateful for Meredith's magic !

Sometimes I feel like other trainers have their one "right" way of training but Erin always has a whole bunch of different techniques and strategies she uses to train dogs. She worked with me until we found something that really worked well and felt comfortable for me and my dog. I always walk away from our training sessions feeling successful (something my dog picks up on and really responds well to) and totally capable of dealing with whatever challenge I bring to the lesson. Erin is particularly good with high-energy "working dogs" and really understand their needs. I have a 4 yr old high-energy lab-shepherd mix who loves to work and move - she and I both have never done well with lessons where we do a lot of sitting and listening to the trainer talk. Erin introduced me to Rally and it was the magic "missing piece" that made all the other impulse control, good social manners, and general discipline work fall into place. (well, that and the Pack Hikes my dog goes on every week to burn off pent up energy!) :)

Her 1-1 trainings are super helpful, and her pack walks keep our dog sane throughout the week when we have to go to work. No amount of morning runs will tire our dog out like a single pack walk where she has to keep up with 4 similarly energetic dogs. I don't know how Erin does it! Thank you so much Erin!!

Immediately, within the first hour of our working together, we noticed changes in our dogs' barking behavior! Like a good therapist, she goes at the pace of the dog, rather than pushing or dominating over the dog, and that produces immediate results that we have been able to sustain with repeated efforts. City Dog, Country Dog also hosts camps for you and your dog/s in addition to individual training, and, as dog lovers, we hope to attend one soon. I can't recommend Caroline at City Dog, Country Dog highly enough!!!

First she took the time to jump on a call with me for about 30 minutes to answer my questions. I saw her total 4 hours on a period of 6 months and I can honestly say that she changed our life. She is an amazing dog-trainer, she understands them, she respects them and she's also very good with human which is not always the case with dog trainer. We have a 2 years old male shiba-inu that was getting out of control, extremely scared of new people and other dogs, he would growl at almost anyone we would walk near by. He also growled at us. We were desperate when we called her and she helped us on a way I can't every describe. She gave us methods to gain his trust and make him feel more confident, she explained to us how he was thinking and why he was acting the way he did. It just changed everything. After few months of training he completely changed. Not only he doesn't growl anymore but we were able to bring people over for the first time in months, but also our entire relationship changed with him. He began to like being cuddled, he's way more obedient and he trust us more.We built a connexion with our dog that we never had before. When I say that we were desperate I mean it, I was even afraid to take my dog out. What Caroline did for us is priceless. Plus she is an amazing human-being and we feel so grateful we met her. Seriously don't think twice before calling her, she is amazing and she will help you through any kind of problems.

Exceptional Training That Actually Works for High-Drive and Smart Dogs!…read moreI cannot recommend Lesa's Obedience School highly enough. I first came to Lesa with Sabre, my high-strung, incredibly intelligent Belgian Shepherd Tervuren. Our main goal was getting him to listen to commands and behave reliably around people and other pets. Before finding Lesa, we tried multiple trainers who relied entirely on treat-based incentives. All that did was teach Sabre to only behave when a treat was in sight. Lesa's sensible, structured style was exactly what we needed. She understands that smart, high-drive breeds need clear leadership. She showed me how to get and maintain control, and Sabre absolutely loved every single training session. Sadly, we lost Sabre to cancer last February. When it came time to train our new Bernedoodle puppy, Baker, there was no question about where we would go. I am currently working with Lesa again, and I am entirely confident that under her expert guidance, Baker will grow into a beautifully behaved member of our family. If you want real, lasting results from a trainer who truly understands dog psychology, go see Lesa. Mary K

After spending 2 weeks with Ryan and Mandy, so far so good. After we brought Ka La home we noticed how well mannered she is. Ka La has not gnawed on my arm since she has been back and has not jumped on anyone. When we picked up Ka La, Ryan was very professional and patient with us while explaining the E collar and commands. He was very detailed during training and sent us a very detailed email also to help us remember everything (a lot to remember). My daughter and I are very visual so I wish I recorded him on my phone to watch later. I would highly recommend that if allowed. The E -collar is very effective. I did take her off leash without it and she was perfect for a tenth of a mile walking. She did not try to sniff the bushes like she normally does. I highly recommend Training with them especially since they offer unlimited retraining lessons and allow you to contact them anytime you have questions. Oh, and they were very sweet to Ka La. she had her first bday with them and they celebrated it with her!

My wife and I can't say enough about how Ryan and Mandy have changed our lives for the better…read morebecause of the training they did with our beagle Bumper. We tried multiple other training classes and techniques in the Portland area but none of them were able to help us with Bumper's leash aggression, pulling, and stubbornness. We were at the point where we were hesitant to take him anywhere because of how naughty he was. After doing much research and reading all of the excellent reviews, we decided to try Off Leash K9 Training. Although Ryan and Mandy were located in Eugene, we decided do the two-week course where Bumper stayed with them 24/7. We had doubts about whether or not it would work because of how stubborn our kiddo was, but he came back a different dog! No he is not perfect and he still acts out, but he is soooooo much better than before and we feel comfortable taking him out in public. Ryan and Mandy even extended his training for an additional week at no cost because he wasn't making the progress they had hoped he would. When we finally picked up Bumper after the three weeks, Ryan spent over two-hours with my wife and I to go over Bumper's trainings and commands. He was very patient and did a great job explaining everything. Yes the training is very expensive, more than I ever thought I'd pay for dog training, but the benefits of a well behaved beagle are priceless. Ryan and Mandy also run a dog rescue on site so it was great to know Bumper would not be alone. We will definitely be using Ryan and Mandy again for all of our training needs. Thank you!
