It was late, we were stuck in a parking garage at 10 PM with no tools, and we trusted their guidance. The mechanic started service around 4 or 5 PM and we didn't leave until 1 AM. We were charged $681 total, including $165 for a diagnostic and the cost/labor for two batteries. The mechanic mentioned we could replace the batteries ourselves to save money, but that really wasn't realistic given the situation we were in. The biggest issue was the lack of communication. For hours, there was no clear diagnostic explanation, and it wasn't until after the batteries were replaced around 10 PM that we were told the issue might be related to a computer system failure. This was not mentioned at all before we replaced the batteries, which made it feel like we were going in circles. After everything was done, we still didn't have a working car, and we were left without any real answers or codes to understand the problem. Eventually, we had to tow the car to Pep Boys, where they diagnosed and fixed the issue for just $177. We feel that this mobile service could've been more transparent and provided clearer communication throughout the process. Given the high cost and lack of results, I'm sharing this review to help others avoid the same frustrating experience. Be sure to ask for clear, up-front diagnostic information and pricing before agreeing to any services

Alec, the service and location Manager/Director is the best. He is honest and always comes up with the best and most reasonable repair solutions for my Bimmers. Recently my 2009 X5 finally gave up on me with about 260k miles. He even offered to help me find another X5. Now, that is not your typical repair place! They go over and beyond the normal expectations, even for a hard to please client like me. I finally found a replacement x5 but diesel version and I will trust no one but them to service this replacement vehicle. If you drive an Audi, BMW, Porsche, Mercedes, VW, Ferrari or any other European car, this is the only place you should be taking your car for repair, maintenance or service. They are the best! I stand by these guys! The owner is also a beast when it comes to repairs. He has no problem rolling his sleeves up to jump in and help when the guys get slammed! I witnessed this when both of my headlight assemblies needed to be replaced due to faulty wiring (vehicle age related) which included bumper removal. The guys were slammed and the owner rolled his sleeves up to handled the job! I got my car back the next day versus having to wait a week! Now that is making sure your clients are treated as a priority!!

TLDR: Per my friend,…read moreMr. Dixon is very courteous and respectful. Per me, don't trust him with any electrical troubleshooting (especially parasitic drains) because he isn't competent in that area of automotive repair; go to a mechanic who specializes in electrical diagnosing and repairs, but Mr. Dixon is probably okay with basic automotive repairs. FULL REVIEW: I referred my female friend to Mr. Dixon because he had great reviews from multiple sources. My friend had something draining her battery. I usually do all the automotive repairs for her (I was an auto mechanic for many years and I still do all my friends and my own repairs), but I was out of town. She was unable to go to an auto repair shop so I found her the best reviewed mobile mechanic I could find through the internet. Mr. Dixon came out and looked at my friends car, he spent approximately 2-3 hours attempting to troubleshoot my friends car. He couldn't find anything draining the battery so he assumed it was an intermittent alternator problem. He charged my friend approximately $90 for troubleshooting and left, stating he would return days later to replace the alternator. He returned days later and replaced the alternator, but that did not fix the problem. After I finished my contract in California, I drove back to Atlanta and started troubleshooting the problem. It was very easy to diagnose, it took me approximately 20 minutes to find what was draining the battery. I ordered the replacement part and one week later I replaced the malfunctioning part and the drain was gone. Mr. Dixon charged my friend approximately $450 for troubleshooting, labor and an alternator that she didn't need. It cost me approximately 30 minutes of labor and an $18 part off ebay (because you can't buy it new anymore). What should have cost my friend $78 (1 hour minimum labor @ $60/hour [maybe a little more since he's a mobile mechanic] + $18 part), ended up costing her approximately $450 because Mr. Dixon doesn't know how to properly troubleshoot a parasitic drain. I was told he was very polite and courteous, and I believe he is probably competent at basic automotive repair because the alternator looks like it was installed well and there aren't any problems from that replacement, but I wouldn't trust Mr. Dixon for any advanced automotive repair, especially electrical troubleshooting / parasitic drains; go to a specialist or an auto-mechanic that is ASE certified in electrical repairs.

As many Audi owners know, oil leaks are almost a rite of passage--and my car was no exception. I kept quarts of oil in the trunk because the oil light seemed to live on. About a month ago, the car went into limp mode and barely made it home. I took it to a recommended shop, and while I appreciated the effort and honesty, I was told the car might not be worth a major investment. At 79, with no car note and no desire for one, I chose a different path. I had the car transferred to The Bug Shop, where David, the owner, confirmed the hard news--the engine was gone. Not what I wanted to hear, but what I needed to hear. I followed his recommendation for sourcing a reputable engine, purchased it, and had it shipped directly to the shop. Yesterday, I drove a car that feels tighter and runs better than it ever has. It drove so beautifully I felt like I could head straight across the country to the West Coast! I don't write reviews often, but I wrote this one before I even had my morning coffee. I am forever grateful to David and the entire team at The Bug Shop. R. Eaton
