Our visit to this boutique in Fredericksburg was very disappointing. One employee made unnecessary,…read morerude comments about someone's weight and whether a piece of clothing would fit to another employee, without even speaking with us first. The item could have been a gift--she had no idea who it was for. There was simply no reason to make a personal comment. If she wanted to help with sizing, she could have approached us politely and explained whether the clothing tends to run small or large. That would have been helpful customer service. Instead, her comments were judgmental and disrespectful. Her attitude at the register was no better. I asked how she was doing, and she never once looked up at me or asked how we were doing. Every other store we visited along the strip was friendly and welcoming, which made this experience stand out even more. I understand that one employee does not represent everyone at this store, but management needs to address how customers are being treated. After reading other reviews, it appears we are not the only ones who have experienced rude, snooty service here. It's unfortunate to have to leave a review like this, but customers should be able to shop without unsolicited comments about their bodies. We won't be returning.

When I first walked in and I was expecting more of an upscale souvenir store but it is definitely much more than that. I decided to take a lot of pictures because words alone are not adequate.

Reasonable pricing as well and a "sale" section for various sections of the store. I loved this shop and so did my hubby lol we can't wait to return! As described by another…read morereviewer: Shops on Llano is located in a beautiful old Victorian house and offers a nice mix of resale furniture and clothing, antiques and jewelry. Half the space is dedicated to clothes and shoes. Now folks, for the record, I do not like shopping for clothes in "vintage/resale shops" - it's too much energy for the hit&miss find. But as I was passing the clothing room, I spotted a jacket I loved. I asked the nice lady at the shop for similar items and with-in 10 minutes I had found 4 new items of funky/fun designer pieces at a fraction of their original cost. Wow! So happy with my new clothes: a reversible print jacket, a dress, linen overalls & a lacy, poncho top Stevie Nicks would wear. This place is a great compromise if members of your party want to look at clothes while you yourself are not such a fan. You might just spot something breezing through the store.

I see. Girl 1: ... totally with nude shoes. Girl 2: I just hate the pattern. This IS the staff. These two girls aren't picking out clothes to try. They are sorting them. And have no intention of even accidentally acknowledging our presence in the shop. Because today's economy is so stellar that they can afford to ignore potential shoppers. Thankfully, I had on hand the beige beaded belt I bought at Goodie Two Shoes in Austin for $18. It was the same belt this store was selling for $24. The clearance rack was 50% off items mostly in the $200 price range. No gracias. Girl 2: ...and then we saw that terrible movie. Girl 1: Oh I know, I was like, this is so dumb. We walked out. They didn't care. We didn't either. I'll never be back.
