Ok I admit we gave up on HH over a year ago .... Short staffed, food just OK - this location needed a shot in the arm. It's time to try again and we've been for breakfast twice in the last 3 weeks. Great! Had younger, friendly helpful servers, the food was excellent and portions were right and the restaurant was clean. I love the strawberry waffle meal - with the right amount of strawberries, bacon was crisp and eggs were scrambled well - all tasted great and food was fresh and hot . Hubby had The Stuffed Hasbrowns - lots of gravy and he loved it .... If you haven't been to HH lately - suggest you give it a try again - I highly recommend for breakfast ! read more

Me and my boyfriend went to huddle house and ordered pancakes and fried pickles. the fried pickles were amazing, but the pancakes on the other hand were extremely doughy like they were undercooked. our waitress didn't even give us forks, straws, or syrup. we waited 10 minutes for them after she said she will get us some. she only came to our table twice and we are the only ones in here. we had to ask for forks, straws, and syrup again. read more

The food sucked, they messed up my order on a simple waffle with bacon and hash browns. It wasn't even crowded and yet it took them 40 minutes to get some of my food done. And when I did get it my bacon was charcoal black. Honestly there are way better places with the same food that do a whole lot better. read more

The waitresses were amazing. Couldn't ask for better service from our waitress. Beware the "Sweet Heat Chicken and Waffles" from here. Burned, hugely overcooked. Just a disappointment all together. The saving grace was the sweet tea. 2nd to none as far as southern sweet tea goes. They "batter" is claimed to just be dark and not golden as pictured on the menu but taste tells a different burned and scorched story. read more

Ordered a western omelet curbside pick up. The filling in the omelet was badly burned couldn't identify a single ingredient. The hashbrowns greasy and tasted like very old oil. Wasn't a thing on the plate edible. Although I paid extra for take out didn't receive a fork or napkin. Will be my last time here!! read more

Awful service. Waitress seem to be over worked ALONE. other people but didn't seem to be working what so ever. There was a puppy! Inside the store close to the stove. Absolutely will not be coming back here. Very over priced and not good service. read more

Dirty tables, with food and plates, flies everywhere. Our spicy chicken was served raw. They were not busy, plenty of staff standing around, when they should be cleaning up the tables! Over 3/4 of the tables had dirty dishes piled up on them. read more

I've been to several HH's millions of times, and I've never had one this bad. Our server, didn't get his name, was FANTASTIC, and it was his very first day. Although, that was all him. He got ZERO training from the staff. There was no tea, then when it was made the kitchen staff admitted to not stirring it. There were no straws, we had to use PLASTIC silverware. It look literally forever to get our food, shrimp was missing, our beef tip sadwiches had only a few pieces of meat on it, my mashed potatoes were hard, eggs were wrong, and the people next to us left because their food was literally sitting on the plates at the grill area and there was no kitchen staff to be seen. The kitchen staff were all in the back and constantly on their cellphones. The worst thing is to be full but not satisfied. Won't ever come back. read more

Just a real bad experience. Ordered via their online system. Showed up 20 minutes later I showed up to be greeted by a very confused lady who stated "oh I heard something printing, let me go find her". "Her" I later figured out was the cook. 30 minutes later we had our omelette and our fried eggs, bacon, etc. What we didn't have was the rest of our order, missing was our toast and a double order of grits. To top it off, the food was cold. Yep, 30 minute wait while they cooked most of the order but it sat so long on the counter that it got cold before we got the to go bag. This is the nicest HH I've ever visited! It has a big dining room...well ventilated....no cigarette smell! Wonderful staff and good food. Kind of reminds me of a really clean Shoneys or Dennys...but better. read more

You know some folks start with a review and keep adding on things (sometimes real, sometimes embellished) wrong with the restaurant. Mine was kind of a weird tale - mostly about unusual behavior and, frankly, the cost of sub-par food. Here goes, we came in to the Huddle House in Centre, Alabama and the waitress got to us in a timely manner. She was very pleasant and remembered our orders (in her head) and gave them to the kitchen. A gentleman who was wearing the HH t-shirt was really running around in the store looking kinda caught up with something. It was the day of the bad storms that hit Louisiana hard and he cranked up the tv (for the diners) and sat in front of it while commenting to no one in a rather loud manner. Oh well, no big deal. He then had a plate brought to him from the kitchen. He kept the news on a little loud (no huge deal). My buddy and I received our food. I had a burger with fries ($7.49, I think), a drink, and a tiny little spoonful of "chili." The "chili" was a little tomato sauce, a few beans, and a tiny hint of meat with some weird spices. My meal came to nearly 16 bucks!! Wow. Well, I gave them the sad face look. She had to go to someone sitting in a dining room booth with another lady and a fellow that looked a lot like the cook. The people in the restaurant were my friend and I, a man and a woman, the people in the booth who provided change, the "manager" or owner watching the news, the young cook, and a young lady who I suppose was the hostess, and a waitress. Now, when I walked to the register to pay my bill (sniff and cry - $16 for CRAP), I noticed the cook had no mask, had long stringy hair hanging out from under his ball cap, and I really had to just think "forget it, and I can recover the 16 bucks. The fact is I don't think anyone was paying attention to decorum, cleanliness, customer service (although my waitress was cool), value, or the representation of Huddle House. The Huddle House in my hometown went under. Guys, step up your game - and if you want to charge rather large prices like this for your food well then your service, cleanliness, and attention to detail must at least be average. Sheesh. If the TV watching guy was the manager or owner, he wasn't doing his job at all! Forgive my wordiness, but this was just weird. read more

This has to be the nastiest Huddle House I've ever been to in my life. For a good while it's been gross but my fiancé and I decided to give it another chance to see if it's gotten better. Unfortunately it's gotten worse. There's a total of at least 20 tables and every single one of them we're dirty and PILED with dishes from the previous customers. New building, great service, friendly staff! Visiting family and stopped here for lunch. My future brother in law suggested using the number of drink refills to measure the size of the tip we left. Let's just say we left a good tip. I had the pulled pork sandwich and it was delicious. Others stuck with breakfast and no one was disappointed. read more

Very good food, great service, decent prices and a clean restaurant. The food was served quickly, the coffee wasn't bitter plus there was plenty of close shopping, very close to this restaurant as we as other useful businesses my husband and I like the comfortable atmosphere to relax. read more
