No show to appointment. Not able to communicate with a real person. They actually informed me 1.5 hours late to tell me that worker was on the way. Worker never showed. Appointment canceled by text with out voice communication. Treated with no respect. read more

Highly Recommend!! Kelly & Sam were very responsive to our tight time window. Their pricing was very reasonable pricing and they are highly knowledgeable and skilled in large tree removal in a tight space. They were very careful with everything in our yard, including moving a fountain at no extra cost to ensure its safety. Outstanding service - you can't do better! read more

Sam and his wife are super knowledgeable, personable and have saved us thousands (in actual money as well as strife). They are very professional, responsive and our go-to tree people. Definitely recommend them for taking care of your trees (removal, tricky trimming, etc.). We thought we had to remove a GIANT tree (that we didn't want to remove). Sam is a great arborist, evaluated it, said it could stay, knew how to help it (it's doing great!)... BUT had we taken it out, his estimate was significantly better AND we weren't going to have tear out our fixed play structure (other contractors said it would have to be cut out). He's done a super great job for us on other trees (we have a lot!) and for family members. Really appreciate them. Thanks Huckaby's! read more

Sam and his wife Kelly operate a fantastic and reliable service. The quote for my job was almost 50% lower than two other companies. Thank You! read more

Huckaby's did a great job on pruning some trees and taking down a young maple that was going to be an issue in the future. I didn't even know it was there until Sam saw it hidden behind big spruce. He handled it all like the pro he is. Both he and Kelly are very knowledgeable arborists and really took the time to explain things and share their knowledge on certain tree issues I had. Very nice, cool people and their bid was so much more reasonable than other tree service bids I got. They cleaned up the yard nicely after they were done and showed care for my property. Will definitely keep them as my tree people! SB read more

Great value - Great work, one of Huckaby's competitors told me - If I didn't do this for a living Sam Huckaby is the guy I would hire... enough said ! read more

Great experience. Fast response, by far lowest estimate of the 3 I received. Work was scheduled and performed exactly as promised. I had an ornamental plum removed and a flowering pear trimmed. It was all done in less than an hour and a half, including clean up. Exceeded all my expectations, will definitely use in the future. Highly recommend! read more

This service was hired by a neighbor to remove a large tree on the property line. The neighbor told us and we were fully supportive of the tree coming down. However Huckaby's staff were rude to us and failed to clean up their mess in our yard. Several times they gained access to our yard without permission. A simple knock on the door is just plain curteous. Owner was verbally abusive and unwilling to listen to our concerns or answer questions. Looks like the did great work, just sad that character and how you treat people is the last priotity. read more

We have several ~40 year old pines around our yard that were a tangle of dead limbs and completely overgrown, dropping twigs and mess all over the yard all year long. These monsters needed tamed. I shopped around the local tree services and got a variety of answers - some even suggested just removing them - no bueno. I felt lucky to find Huckaby's Tree Service. They were quick to come by and see what I wanted - the only ones to do so in person - and gave me a good quote for thinning them out and dead-limbing the tangled messes. Plus, the owner (and the guy skillfully scaling up the tree with his saws) is an Arborist who very clearly loves trees. He seems to be an Encyclopedia of trees, in fact. The work was done carefully and safely, and made a huge difference in the look and maintenance of our yard. I have since hired them a couple more times to take care of more tree problems in the yard. They even came right away once for an emergency job to remove a broken limb that was hanging over the sidewalk and in danger of falling. I can't recommend them enough. Another great thing about them is that they won't do a job if it's bad for the tree or would pose a danger. Top the tree? Bad idea - find someone else to do it. Cut out those unsightly roots that are holding the tree up? Nah, pick someone else to cause a future insurance claim. This tree service is legit! read more

Huckaby's came to my home to look over a potential tree trimming job. Huckaby's said they'd provide me with an estimate via email, but never heard from them again. I get that some jobs a company would rather not bid on, but do the courteous thing and simply state the job isn't wanted. I can take the rejection. read more

We just bought this house in 2016 and it sits on .9 of an acre, which the previous owners had stuffed with trees. Just indiscriminately planted trees, 19 of them, everywhere in the middle of the yard and bushes against every wall and surrounding the property, and grape vines on the bordering fence between us and the neighbor. At first we thought it would be okay but during the first summer we couldn't even leave the house without being assaulted by bugs and couldn't mow the lawn at all. So we decided they needed to go. I called a few companies and decided on Huckaby's because the guy that talked to me knew all the trees, could tell us what they were (the previous owners hadn't), gave me a great price and a reasonable timeline and was willing to work with us on payments (we are a disabled household, formerly homeless, still trying to build our credit, so no loans for us) Over the next year and a half, we had them come out to take out the trees and then the bushes and grapes. Communication can be difficult with them so be prepared to work with them. Sometimes they came unexpectedly to start work and sometimes they left unexpectedly. But honestly given everything else it didn't really matter. If you're someone who has to have a strict schedule and have every single moment accounted for, you may want to find someone else. read more

Sam and his wife are a class act. From the estimate to the final service couldn't have asked for better service or a better value. We had to wait a bit because they were't accepting new clients but totally worth it! read more

Very helpful, knowledgeable and personable. I cannot speak highly enough of the service Sam and his crew provided even in a small tree cutting job request. Joe read more

Sam Huckaby and his partner just finished dropping a 75' fir tree for me. They were very professional, efficient and safe. Took them around two hours from the start of their setup to finishing cleanup. I could not be happier! They arrived when they promised and completed their work in accordance with their estimate, which by the way was significantly less than the other two tree removal services from whom I received quotes. I'm planning to have them back to work on my large sycamore tree. I would recommend Huckaby's Tree Service without hesitation. They provide a high quality service at very reasonable rates. read more

I was really hoping to use this service. Sam came out on time and gave me an estimate. He knew all my trees and was very professional. I agreed on the price - but never heard from him again. I contacted him twice and never heard back. I thought he closed up shop and left. I am very surprised to learn he has done business in the community. Wont last if this is how he treats 'customers'. read more

Did a great job with the estimate which is what the final cost was. Did a great job trimming my trees. Sam and his crew were fast and took care of their mess. I would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to my neighbors. read more

I choose this company because it had good reviews. However I made 2 appointments, the 1st on a Tuesday at 5:30pm. I called at 6:00, when no one showed, and they were unable to make it, but had forgot. They apologized and At that time we agreed to rescheduled for Sat, and again a no show and no phone call. I am a person who forgets a mistake and willing to give them another opportunity, but a second time? I called and left a message that they must have forgotten again and that I didn't do business with people or businesses that are unreliable. It wasted my time and thru my schedule off for the rest of the day, so I do not recommend. read more

Sam and his partner did an excellent job for us by removing a tree, pruning several other trees and trimming arborvitae. Two of our neighbors saw them working and asked them to do jobs for them which they did right away. Also, I don't believe their prices can be beat. read more
