This fountain is located at the east end of the Nymphenburger canal, about 1.5 miles from the Schloss Nymphenburger. Designed and constructed between 1903 and 1907, the fountain is inside the building. Imagine a covered temple.
Inside the building, there is the fountain and a statue of a deer. A figure of St. Hubert is inside. Hubertus of Liege lived around 655-727 and was Bistop of Maastrict and Liege. He is considered the patron saint of hunting. And if you'd asked me ten minutes ago if there was a patron saint of hunting, I would have answered "No." But https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hubertus_von_L%C3%BCttich has the story of his conversion after seeing a magnificent deer carrying a crucifix in its antlers.
That would explain why there is also a deer inside the building.
It's interesting and if you're a hunter, worth a stop to pay tribute to your Patron Saint. However the building is quite dark and I could only just barely see the deer.
