The table next to us ordered beef stew, chicken hunter, and a cottage pie and said it was all delicious (we thought it looked pretty good too). Overall, a nice dinner out.

We received instructions for entry which was pretty easy. We got right in our room without any check-in process. We never saw anyone onsite, so it's more of a do-it-yourself stay. Our room was clean, spacious enough for our luggage, etc. Rooms had a mini fridge and coffee/tea options. Our room had a small attached bathroom, which worked out fine. We purchased breakfast options at a nearby grocery and used the common kitchen to warm up our breakfast (a delicious quiche btw) to go with our coffee. The kitchen had everything we needed. We'd stay again. It's very close to the train station, on the main road into town. It worked out well for us!

Luckily, while we were discussing our next steps on the street, the owner came out (turns out she hadn't heard us as she was cleaning). However, it's best to let them know! Also, they don't have facilities other than in your room (so if you come early, you will have to look for loos elsewhere if your room is not ready).

Which was an amazing tour from Ancient Roman times and medieval times to the planned evacuation of Dunkirk in WWII. The house was beautiful and the rooms quaint and spacious. We spent two nights and the morning breakfast was delicious and the amazing couple Barry & Di were so kind and gracious. They enjoy what they do and are always willing to tell you insider tips of where to go for weather and times of the day. Sold us the best travel map of all of England ... £4. What a lovely town and there is a reason for all their high marks. Barry and Di are amazing people.

I have stayed here 3 times in the last 4 years...great location, beautiful old brick building, easy walking to anywhere in Dover. We enjoyed the breakfasts in the historic dining room and also being able to make tea or coffee in the room. There is a parlor room which is fantastic as we had occasion to receive guests and it was preferable to have a space other than our room. The trees and flowers in the neighborhood made this truly special. Highly recommend this!
