I needed the deadbolt lock on my condo door replaced. With short notice, Huber sent their locksmith on a Saturday morning. The appointment was scheduled to be between 9:00 and noon. The locksmith called me about 20 minutes before arrival to let me know he was coming. He arrived around 8:40. I was glad he was early, as I was hoping to beat the heavy midday traffic on the way home. He worked quickly, with a minimum of noise. That's important at an oceanfront condo, especially during Labor Day weekend. He made sure I knew exactly how to make sure the lock would work easily. He also showed me the old deadbolt, which had rusted badly. When he was done, he swept the area around the door. At my request, he made me two extra keys. He was able to do that right in his truck. I was able to pay him using a credit card. The entire experience was quick, easy and very professional. I highly recommend Huber if you ever need a locksmith in eastern Atlantic County. read more

My building has an account with them. Not so sure i am pleased with their service. 5 months ago i asked them to re key my apartment. $150 bucks ... 3 months ago the lock failed - the lock got stuck wouldn't go back in. They charged me again even though it seemed to be related- They said this repair was not related to the original "re- keying" - SO I paid another couple of hundred. # months later: just last sunday tenant called and said he was experiencing the same problem in the middle of the night. I left message with Huber. Now they are saying i have to purchase a whole new lock for the door $600!!! . - and claiming this has nothing to to with previous two visits - Cost for new lock= $600!! But they cannot say why their work is not guaranteed or under some kind of warrantee. Needless to say i am totally Pissed. I called several times to attempt to talk some understanding and logic. NO! I really urge everyone to avoid this company!!! Huber is a rip off clap trap company, they will milk you dry! read more

Great example of family owned business. Great customer service. Had a set of keys that are, how do you say, not of your normal variety. I have used this company on two occasions. First time was when we moved into our house and had all the locks changed and then the following year when I have trouble with deadbolt. Both times was the same service man and I wish I could remember his name, but he was very nice and friendly. Courteous and professional. Same with people who answered the call. I'd probably give 3.5 stars if that was possible. Huber changed several locks on our shore condo in 2021. A few months later, one of the doors was not latching properly. Called Huber and they came out promptly and fixed it no charge since within the warranty period--so far so good. Then this year, about 13 months after the original installation, the same thing happened to another one of the locks. The good news is they came out promptly and fixed it, but they charged me $200, because it was outside the warranty period. Since the original installation set me back about $1,000, I would have expected this recent repair to be covered gratis. Seems to me if I were running a business like this, I'd be mildly embarrassed I had to come out twice within 13 months to reset things, but perhaps that's easy for me to say since I don't run the business. Bottom line is that I would recommend them, but not as enthusiastically as I could have. read more

This is a family-owned business in the best sense of the word. On two occasions, I've needed help from Huber Locksmiths and both times, I was very satisfied with the service. They were able to come out quite quickly when I needed to have a storm door lock replaced. The technician called to let me know when he was on the way. He did an excellent job and made sure that I could continue to use the same key for both the old and new locks. And the price was very reasonable. I highly recommend them.
