Well, this has to be the worst HSBC branch in London, so why is it still operating? For starters there is no automatic pay-in machine, and only one cash point outside and one inside. So the only way to pay in was to use the human beings there. Why would this be a problem? If you ever watched Little Britain and the bank/travel agents with the "assistant" who coughs and just says "computer says no", then what I found in Putney was a real life character of that skit. Unhelpful, useless and the misery on their faces says 'I hate customers'.
So HSBC London, when will you close this branch down, refit with automatic machine like the ones I use at Camden & Canary Wharf. Also, dire I say it, Wandsworth Town (not a location to go to by choice) does a far better banking service, Putney needs to learn from them. You can get a staff members from the Wandsworth branch, save some money by not restraining Putney staff, well maybe the customer advisor as she did smile and genuine seems happy to help customers. If I was restricted to the Putney branch for my banking, I would have moved to another bank by now. read more
