I have used True North Painting for several projects over the years, most recently my family room…read more It was in desperate need of an update, including a few repairs as well as fresh paint for the walls and trim. I have to say, they continue to impress me every time! The finished result exceeded my expectations. One of the things that always stands out to me is how much care they put into everything, including the preparation and details. They took the time to patch and prep everything properly, made sure the furniture and floors were well protected, and finished with a clean, polished result. The crew showed up on time each day. They communicated throughout the job, and always left the house neat and tidy at the end of the day. I have to confess that I tend to be very picky. But after using them more than once, I can honestly say they are one of the few companies I completely trust to do the job right. If you are looking for painters who are reliable, easy to work with, and do high-quality work, I strongly recommend them.

I hired this company to cut a large tree from my front yard and two smaller trees in the back…read more They were affordable and ready to work. The problem came as they were doing the work. Not many safety procedures were used. When cutting the huge limbs, they just let them fall to the ground. When they got to the last 12 to 15 feet of the giant trunk, rather than cutting it down further, they decided to chop it at the bottom and push it over. Doing this damaged the sidewalk and retaining wall. While cutting my trees, they managed to hit the fences on both sides of the house, smash the handrail for the steps, crush my sidewalk in several places, collapse a retaining wall and left the entire neighborhood without power for the rest of the evening. Jeff told me they would be in contact to do repairs in a couple of weeks. After a month I contacted them asking when they would be returning. I sent pictures of the damage, and Jeff asked if I was trying to cheat him. I assured him the damage was created by his company. He gave me a date he would come back, but rescheduled the day before. The day they were to show up, he texted me saying they would be not coming and would come another day. I was becoming frustrated and asked him for his insurance information. He would not give me the information and instead offered me cash. I did not reply to his offer as I wanted to get an estimate on the repairs. When I got home late that evening I discovered he had come to "fix" his mess. Unfortunately, the north neighbors fence is still smashed, the handrail hasn't been replaced and the sidewalk still has huge cracks and a large hole. This company was a huge disappointment.
