My experience here was a bit of a mixed bag. I took a day to process everything, and I figure the…read morebest way to present things is just to go in order. The building itself is nice, and the waiting room is comfortable. However, while there's a ramp to get up to the building, there are no buttons for auto doors, which is problematic, and they're on the narrower side. It should be noted that they share an entrance/building with NovaCare, which is downstairs. I saw the stair entrance when I went back for my appointment but didn't see any signs of an elevator. This is just a huge fail. It's not necessarily a condemnation of the doctor? But you share the space and you're obviously going to recommend patients to their PT services, so wouldn't you want to make sure it's accessible. You also control the accessibility situation at the entrance. The staff was all lovely. From the initial setup of the appointment, as well as on the day, each person I spoke to was professional, polite, and warm. The nurse/tech listened to all of my concerns and was patient with me while getting x-rays done as I had my service dog with me which always makes things take a little extra time. Now, we come to Dr. Brodell. I chose this office because my spouse came to see him recently and said that everything went well. My initial take-away was that I found him to be rather...dry. Not a bad bedside manner, but neither was he warm, by any means. On further reflection, he was dismissive, and didn't allow me to voice all of my concerns and symptoms. He randomly interjected with questions that had nothing to do with why I was there, and frankly weren't any of his business - had I gotten the covid-19 vaccine yet, why did I have PTSD, etc. The PTSD one was particularly out of line, IMO. When he first came into the room, he walked right over to my service dog and tried to pet him - he didn't ask my permission, he didn't hold out his hand to my dog in greeting, just tried to plop his hand onto my dog's head. As someone in healthcare, I expect a greater level of understanding of service dogs, their importance, and the etiquette involved. They should be very well aware of the fact that interference of any kind can cause serious injury or even death to a handler. It was beyond inappropriate. But, even so, it's common sense - and polite! - to *ask* before petting someone's dog. As far as the diagnosis is concerned, he didn't bother looking at the previous x-rays I brought him, though he looked over the radiologist report at least. I wanted to discuss things with him more, but again he didn't seem interested in letting me voice all of my concerns or ask questions. He didn't want to give me a cortisone shot due to being a diabetic, which is understandable. However, if he'd bother to open dialogue with me, he'd know that I do very well on steroids and have had *extensive* steroid treatments done, including cortisone treatments, in the last few years for an unrelated issue. I wouldn't have cared if the answer was still "no" but he should have allowed me to speak and give him all the information, especially as a brand new patient that he doesn't have the full history on. You can't simply assume. There was just a certain level of arrogance and dismissiveness through the whole exchange that rubbed me the wrong way. He seemed as though he wanted to get out of there as quickly as possible, rather than take the time to go over my *relevant* medical history and get to know the new patient, or allow me to ask my questions. I shouldn't have to fight for my time, or have someone else advocate on my behalf in order for medical professionals to *listen* to me. That's kind of their whole job. Frankly, I doubt I'll go back. Maybe he was having an off day, but the whole thing left a sour taste in my mouth and I've wasted enough time on doctors that blow me off to know that it's more likely to continue in this fashion than not.

My first appointment at Cyril Pain Clinic I met with Dr. Dina Hanna. I could tell that she had read…read moreall the information on the forms that I had filled out before our appointment. She is very knowledgeable and we talked about different procedures that I could possibly do to manage my back pain. I did not feel pressured into making a decision that day on what procedure we could start with. I had plenty of time to think about it. She is kind and compassionate And I did not feel rushed during our appointment. I could feel that she was genuinely concerned with my situation. For my monthly appointments, I now meet with Elizabeth Ghindia NP. Our appointments are very productive and I do not feel like I've wasted my time meeting with her. She also is very compassionate and listens to all my concerns. If you are looking for professional pain management doctors, please consider Cyril Pain Clinic. Dr. Hanna and her staff are excellent. Life is too short to be playing with someone's time. I called them yesterday about scheduling an…read moreappointment for my person. Called them around 12pm. They wanted to eat lunch and put me on hold. Ask me to call back after. I was even mindful enough to contact back at 12:15pm. When I called I told the lady My person didn't have a primary care doctor. Took his number from me and told me that someone would call him to schedule. His pain is horrible. I am concerned and there was no empathy whatsoever. The voice of the lady was so chilling and cold. I thought from the first call I could be being racially profiled. Today just now. She asked me his name, and asked me his primary care. She then said they can't see him without him having a primary care. She ignored that I said anything involving being human. You would be concerned to even trust them with your dog. Today is my birthday. I ended the call. Told her to have a nice day. I was already nervous off reviews before my 3 phone calls. Kindness is key and I felt nothing at all. Food is more important than the service of people. I only write reviews when I feel the need. This was horrible. We have great insurance. 2 days wasted when I could have figured out another solution before this moment. They cheated me off that. I meant zero stars. That's not an option.
