This place is a joke! I had ben going here on tuesdays and thursdays. It was my 4th visit when the…read more physical therapist, Justin, had me doing my exercises, and when it came to the leg lifts, he switches the ankle weights to a 3lb instead of the 2lb I was using for the other visits. Well, 7 lifts into it , my Sciatic nerve just lit up. I stopped exercising . When Justin came back over to me, he asked what was wrong. I explained to him that my periformis muscle just went into spasm. He said he had increased the weight and took it off. I finished my PT session and left. I tried all weekend to get my Sciatic to calm down. When I showed up the following Tuesday for my next session, Justin asked how my Sciatic issue was, and I said it has calmed down some but is still painful. He says to me..."Well, you of all people should know how to fix this." I was Dumbfounded! I thought... Where is THIS coming from??? I responded that If I Could Work on Myself, I Would!! Also, that My Massage therapist just had a baby and isn't working. I was so perplexed because I had purchased the ankle weights and ball, they told me buy, in order to do these exercises at home. I turned my Massage room into my PT room and was doing the exercises, as I was instructed to do by them. I also had drastically changed my diet to GF free and low carb to lose weight and take added pressure of my joints. Anyway... Justin has me start doing the exercises, and we get to the leg lifts. AGAIN, I get to about #7 and my Sciatic ON BOTH SIDES LIT RIGHT UP! I was in so much pain. I stopped. Justin comes over, asked what my problem was and I explained what was happening and asked if he had increased the weight. He says "Yes, I put a 4lb weight on your ankle." WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD HE INCREASE THE WEIGHT ??? IF 3lb caused me to SPASM??? I finished the session and left. I had 2 appointments scheduled for the following week, but I was in So Much Pain, I thought I can't go back there. I need to get this worked out. I ended up getting a massage and canceled my PT sessions. I can't believe how unprofessional and just downright Nasty to do this to another human being!! WOW!... I STILL HAVE SCIATIC ISSUES NOW, THANKS TO THIS PLACE!!!

He did the surgery, I worked hard at rehab, made it hurt, and I have no pain, no problems at all. The surgery was done at Mercy in Boardman. Everyone there gave me great care. Dr Solmen worked on my big toe years ago. I was limping around with extreme pain. One visit, and he fixed the problem. One follow up visit, done. Recently I had ankle problems. One visit with Dr Solmen, with one follow up, and done. I've used Youngstown Ortho in Howland for rehab on my knee and shoulder replacements. Five stars!

Prior to our area having a children's hospital, I took my 1.5 year old there for a broken collarbone (now 17) - they took amazing care of him. Dr Solmen, the only orthopedic foot and ankle specialist in the area, did a tendon repair on my right ankle several years back. I now see Drs Musser and McElroy for my back. Excellent providers who take the time to explain what is causing the issues, discusses multiple (when possible) treatment options and takes the time answer all my questions. They also have an orthopedic urgent care clinic to help those who've been injured and want to skip the ER. Definitely two thumbs up!

Upon calling to make the…read moreappointment, I was ask "Why are you coming here instead of going back where you were previously seen? Thats doesn't make sense". I was unaware that it became the receptionist job to question where I decide to have my medical care but here, I guess, it is. My appointment was changed to a date that I had not agreed upon and when calling to change the appointment I was ask "Why do you need to change it?" in a tone I don't even use with my dog. Upon arriving I was asked the normal questions and being as I just received a new PCM, when asked his name, I said Brian instead of Brad by mistake and she yelled at me saying " DON'T YOU MEAN BRAD?" and rolled her eyes and scoffed. I will deter anyone who even thinks about going to this place!!

This is an orthopedic Dr. not a walk-in clinic. When she was finally seen it was all of 2 minutes.. she went with x-ray's so no new shots were taken. TODAY, she had an appointment but hot a phone call early this AM asking her to come in early.. Low and behold, we are now 2 hours and 20 minutes in and STILL sitting in the waiting room.. Now WHY would you call the day of and ask someone to come in EARLY then NOT see them early? Oh I know, you want to screw with people because you're a Dr.!!! Well Aren't we just the fools!?!? 2 and 1/2 hours and never seen!!! Yep, we left!! Typical Dr. doesn't care about patients, ONLY the almighty dollar. Let's stack 5 to 10 patients in every 10 minute slot, give crap for care, Bill as much as humanly possible and call it a day!
