We called another company to come out, it was obviously shortly after that the issue was not resolved, so we called Zack-Vac for a second look/opinion. They arrived when they said, the team went to each and every vent and took a picture before cleaning and then after- sharing as they went along. They were able to determine that the other company only cleaned about half the vents- the rest were pretty much untouched. The team that was hear did a very thorough job, they were very respectful, and clean. I would highly recommend them and will use again when needed!

My 86-year old mother had Stanley Steemer come out to clean her carpets. The technician asked if…read morethey could use her bathroom; she said they could use the one downstairs (she is unable to use it, due to mobility issues). That night, she had no hot water. There was still no hot water the next morning, and there was a banging noise coming from the basement. She called a plumber; just as he arrived, she saw that the technician from Stanley Steemer had left the hot water in the downstairs bathroom running since he had been there the previous day! She called the company and spoke to the manager, who said she had no proof that it was their technician and told her that he would give her the difference between her previous and next water bill, as well as a gift certificate for her next carpet cleaning. Obviously, at 86 years old, the odds of her needing her carpets cleaned again are approximately zero. I called the company the following day, explaining the situation again, and was told the manager was away but would contact me by Monday. When I had not heard anything by 4pm Monday, I called back. I was put on speaker phone with the manager, who said he did try to call (I had no voicemail from him) and told me there was no proof his tech did this. I assured him that no one gets into her house unless we know about it, and she is unable to use that bathroom. He told me the same thing he said to her: difference between previous and current water bill, gift certificate for next carpet cleaning. I explained to him that this is unacceptable, given reasons I previously mentioned. He asked what I would like to see happen. I told him I believed that a $150 refund would be fair, especially considering the fact that she is elderly and was understandably upset, lacking hot water and having a banging sound coming from her basement. He said this would not be fair to her or to the company, since it was just a random number. I told him that was fine; that he could just refund the entire amount. He told me this would be unfair to the company. It was at this point that I informed him that I then had no option but to take to social media, warning the public of the bad faith practices of this company. If you believe that going with this national company will provide you good service, as well as peace of mind, I would strongly recommend you look anywhere else. This is predatory behavior that one would expect from a fly-by-night operation, not a company that's been around longer than I've been alive.
