My husband has had a fever, aches/pains, severe sore throat covered with white patches, headache, earache, etc. throughout our vacation week. He went to this facility and was told that unless a strep test came back positive, they are not allowed to prescribe an antibiotic. Keep in mind, false negatives on strep tests are relatively common and not the only bacterial infection out there. The physician told him that he presented every single sign of strep, but she would not treat him. Several days later when we called back, they wanted him to come into the office to re-examine him before they would prescribe anything further, at which time they would charge him again. The regional manager said they are not allowed to prescribe anything for patients unless they are "sick for two weeks" or have a "positive strep test." I am typically a very understanding person, but in this situation it seems that common sense and logic have been thrown out the window. Save your time, save your money, save your frustration, save your VACATION....pay the $50 for an online doctor. Trust me, I wish we had done so earlier. We will NEVER be visiting a Minute Clinic again. So very disappointing. If I could give a "0 star" review I would, because they were absolutely no help.
