It's a smaller school and all the teachers know your kid's name. They are caring, responsive, supportive, personable and still professional. The administration is very active and involved - I always see them participating with everyday activities and after school functions. Nothing is always perfect, but I would recommend this school to anyone. The few times an issue has come up the staff has been responsive and worked quickly to find and implement a resolution. My kids have thrived here and I'm sad that my 5th grader will be moving on next year.

Finally, we weren't allowed to get water during Gym if we didn't bring a water bottle, even if I was in pain because of how thirsty I was.

The specials teachers (Music, physical education, Spanish, Art, Library/Media) are exceptional and the in-school administration is welcoming, knowledgeable, and truly in their careers because they love helping students succeed. Overall, we are very happy with CAEMS and look forward to another year of successful education next year!

His favorite teacher there was Don Shea, who also is the Oakland Mills Head Soccer Coach. He has been a great influence there as a mentor and leader in the Oakland Mills community. I recommend this high school as one of the best in the area.
