The specials teachers (Music, physical education, Spanish, Art, Library/Media) are exceptional and the in-school administration is welcoming, knowledgeable, and truly in their careers because they love helping students succeed. It's a smaller school and all the teachers know your kid's name. They are caring, responsive, supportive, personable and still professional. The administration is very active and involved - I always see them participating with everyday activities and after school functions. Nothing is always perfect, but I would recommend this school to anyone. The few times an issue has come up the staff has been responsive and worked quickly to find and implement a resolution. My kids have thrived here and I'm sad that my 5th grader will be moving on next year.

This time it was to the point where my child was crying because she was afraid to go to school. The schools solution was to recommend her staying in the class for students creating problems rather than deal with the aggressors. They were going to try to come up with a plan to keep her safe for bathroom use and lunchtime. When we put in a request to transfer it was denied even though my daughter's safety was at risk. We had to pull her out of school for her safety. Those same students who were bullying her found her in the neighborhood of a friend and attacked her, two girls beating her up to the point she had a black eye, and the police had to be involved. Shame on a school and school system that doesn't provide for a child's safety!

This place has an onerous contract, with no trial period, that means you must pay for an entire year of care. Despite the contract, it was worth $10000 to get my daughter out of this weirdo situation and into somewhere more accepting and fun. My daughter doesn't have special needs. But they did kick out another child, a friend of ours, who is on an IEP. The staff and teachers and aids were all lovely, no problems with them.

My son has several serious food allergies and the teachers have been great about including him in celebrations and checking with me before giving him anything. The parents at this school are some of the nicest people and it feels like a little community. This is a co-op school, so each family must send a representative to volunteer approx once per month in class, as well as attend monthly meetings, help quarterly with cleaning the school, and other miscellaneous duties. It is not an overwhelming commitment but it helps for parents to have flexibility with their jobs to allow them to fit in everything. You cannot bring a younger sibling with you when you co-op. My understanding is that children may attend even if they aren't fully potty trained. I am also planning to send my 2 year old to LNS next year. Overall, it has been a positive (and affordable!) preschool experience so far.

Her teachers are some of her favorite people. I really like that they are attentive to each child's individual needs and what is best for them. It's a great school. I also love the cooperative aspect of the school. It really feels like a community and not just a place to drop off your kids. Everyone participates and makes it the best possible place for the kids to grow. I'm happy for all the people we've met and look forward to another 2 years there.
