    Coolest swinging benches
    Heather J.

This is a really nice park and I was so happy to have chosen a hotel room right next door. It's great for a long walk, as the trail seems to go a considerable distance in both directions. It is also a nice place to sit on the waterfront and look out at the river, it seems like the grass would be great for bringing a picnic. I really like the swinging park benches and feel like I have not seen these too many other places, they are a good place to sit down and relax for a moment while taking in the view. We had the pleasure of seeing some very cool full rainbows on our visit that made this park seem even more magical. This seems to be a popular place for a family get together or other event. It was quite popular on the weekend we visited. There is a wading pool that had me wishing I had small children to take to it. Some playground structures too. I really just liked the high energy this place seemed to have, everyone seemed to be having a good time. So much to do and something for nearly every interest.

It is so worth the early wake-up call. Mission is to find different water spots or splash pads. This wading pool captures all the desires of children during the summer! No life-guards on duty; yet, a clean space for all. Parents are on guard, and children are respectful. The entire grounds is near the Columbia River and the trails are full of life. People preparing for their family picnics. Runners getting their fitness in before the afternoon heat of ninety plus degrees. This is a wonder of magic times after COVID. Introducing the littles to life with proper awareness is key!

This park and I go WAY back. Love what they have done with the kids play area, and just enjoy sitting under one of the many large shady trees here. The Tri Cities is lucky to have such a nice park in such a great locale. All the great fesitvals and event that happen here are fun too, but my favorite thing is to just go with some lunch and just listen to the stories the trees tell as the breezes blow through the branches. I also enjoy meeting all the doggies that come visit.

This is such a beautiful park! Having lived in NYC and spent one year and 1/2 running in central park i shouldn't really be impressed with our humble park here, but i am. It is clean, pretty, well designed (perhaps a future expansion could be similar to Stanley Park in Vancouver Canada - 2 paved lanes - one for bikers and the other for runners, walkers) We should be proud of it with it's great playground, it's gazebos offering barbecues, shade and seating. Truly lovely!

One of the best parks that we've ever been to...anywhere. My kids had a blast here! There is rock climbing, a big play structure, and my daughter especially liked the "zip line." It is well worth the visit.

grass, gulls, river, jet skis, tables, bbqs, ya nice park!

Great clean riverside park, lots of shade, trails, water, sun, boatlaunches, parking, kids playground...

Very beautiful park, well maintained and there always seems to be something going on! There is a trail that goes along the Columbia River and several little places were you can swim and hang out. Lots of picnic tables but I still think they need more lots of benches along the pathway. Playgrounds with little zip lines, a kiddie pool that is always packed, lots of seminars and festivals here in the summer, Jet ski, Kayak and bicycle rentals and a few cute little food stands I have never used any of them but they always seem to be very busy! If you are visiting the area there are a couple of hotels up the road that are very nice and have great access to the park. Since this park is one of our favorite things to do in the Tri Cities we always make sure we stay as close to the park as possible! One down fall for the park is parking always seems to be an issue so arrive early if you plan on hanging out all day or prepare to walk a ways if you show up latter especially when they are busy.

Love walking this path along the water. So relaxing. Very cold and brisk in winter mornings. But it feels amazing.

The Riverfront Trail goes along the Columbia River with amazing views of the scenery and is well-maintained. We walked part of the Riverfront Trail in the downtown Richland area and I can't say anything bad about it. The trail was well paved as people could walk, bike or rollerblade due to its flat and smooth surface. Many people use this trail and along it, were benches and trash bins. I recommend walking along the Riverfront Trail when you're in Richland as it gets you up close to the Columbia River and depending on where you are, you could even stop in and swim or dock off from it on an American West cruise ship. A space where you can walk and get fresh air is needed in all communities and this is an exceptional one in Richland.

With the recently paved sections added to the Bradley Landing section, the trail now spans four miles from Leslie Groves Park to Columbia Point. It's a flat and wide trail that meanders through a variety of extremely palatable scenery along the Columbia River. Mucho gusto! However, I do have a question. Milfoil is the bane of Green Lake and Lake Washington. But on the Columbia River, it's dead tumbleweeds. They collect in huge mounds around boat docks and in the river's nooks and crannies. Which agency, if any, is responsible for tumbleweed cleanup? Would it be the City of Richland, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers or the State of Washington?

I also saw some herons...WOW! this is the first time I saw pelicans and herons...really neat! I cannot really go so close but I told somepictures from the side of the water. It was neat. The park itself is not that big though I saw few trais and some camp site with RV Parking (with electrical plugs and water faucets)... each parking has a picnic tables too. The bathrooms are surprisingly clean even the park look like deserted. You should try to go to this park if you want to see something new.

In addition, I noticed there were bathrooms for changing and water faucets to wash the sand off your feet with a massive parking lot that is appreciated.
