I do not trust this company and they seem argumentative and lacking in professional customer…read moreservice. I am sad to leave this review, but the company has left me feeling untrusting and angry. I scheduled a sprinkler blowout last fall, 2024. Steve was to be at my home in the morning. He said he would be there before 11, knowing in advance that I needed to leave. After waiting three hours, I had an appointment in town and needed to leave. I thought I was stood up. When I got home, my neighbor told me SM3 had been by to blowout the sprinklers. I was unaware that it was possible to blow out the sprinklers without having access to the garage, but Steve, by phone, later assured me the job was done and that I owed $48. They had advertised $40 so I asked about the sudden price difference. He did say $40 was fine. At this point I was lacking trust because they didn't show up, communicate, then asked for more money. I asked how the job could be done if he didn't go inside my home. He said I needed to finish by opening the drain from the inside of the house, specifically he texted "There should be a small drain on the pipe in the basement. The only water would be from the backflow valve into the basement. There are three valves so work can be done without getting into the house." I did as I was told and completed what I was asked to do. He did not say anything about opening the vacuum breaker so that it could drain properly. That had to be done outside. This spring, the sprinkler would not turn on as usual. Not having a good feeling about all that happened last fall, I called a plumber from my daughter's church who we trust. He said the ball head was broken on the outside unit. He replaced it and I now have a bill for $180 because the job was not finished last fall. When my daughter just called and talked to Steve, he was defensive when she asked for help to know how the sprinklers could be blown out from the outside. He repeated over and over that "we can't get access to the house." My daughter said, "yes, you could have asked to come back and finish inside--you didn't try." He was hired to do the full job and there was a part left out that made me need a new ball valve this spring. On the phone when we asked about him covering the $180 he said, send me the bill and you can take me to court. In my opinion, this isn't a professional and communicative company. I am asking for reimbursement for my $180 repair for work I should have been able to trust was completed and would leave my system in good shape.
