Nobody showed up. Wish we has looked at the Yelp reviews before signing up for this. Either a scam or very poorly organized.

Once a year, Along the streets of the small city of chapel hill...is a cozy little area to look at booth after booth after booth of crafts, foods, hot sauces, and other homemade goodies!! the people are extremely polite and fun to talk to...alcohol is located throughout the area with a few scattered ATM machines. Free to get in, you can spend a few hours out there....live music and good times!! Love it

However this was my first time back in probably over 20 year and they have TONS of things geared towards kids now. I'd be a happy kid! Anything under the sun "festival" will be found here. I was hoping to see more Bluebonnet art, but unlike 20 some odd years years ago it's more commercialized now, just think any festival you go to with "some" bluebonnet stuff mixed it. Home decor, yard art, Texas art, graphic tees, clothes, make your own potpourri, candles, jewelry, festival memorabilia, everything! And let's not forget about festival food! Lots of it! Adult beverages can be found everywhere. You can also get a glimpse into Chappell Hill history by going into the Historical Society building and other buildings along Main St. There is a kids section of carnival rides and face painting for those who have kids in tow. Parking as of this year is $5 and contrary to review number 1 - apparently they have it covered now because there were zero issues. Tip 1 - I would suggest arriving first thing in the morning to avoid any congestion. Tip 2 - There are TONS of yard art vendors. Shop around before you impulse buy. Several venders are much cheaper than the venders at the very start of the festival off Main and 290. Tip 3 - Some venders (not all) only take cash - so bring it! There is an ATM in the Historical Society building....unless they move it. Tip 4 - I laughed when I saw women toting around carts and wagons without kids. But I soon found that they were the smart ones! I bought so much cheap yard art that I could hardly carry it. Who's laughing now. Not me!! Lesson learned - bring something to carry your crap once you buy! You'll be happy you did! Enjoy!!!

I researched tour companies in advance of our trip, and I chose "Discover Houston Tours." Phil planned an itinerary and kept in touch with me before our arrival at HOU-Hobby. He communicated with me by phone, text, and email which assured me that I had selected the best tour guide. Our main purpose was to use our "free day" to tour Johnson Space Center. Phil picked us up at the airport and took us on the greatest tour of the Space Center. He guided us to every exhibit, so that no time was wasted. If I had been "on my own," I would never have known how grand the Space Center was. After the Space Center tour, Phil suggested that he had time for a tour of Houston. Phil's knowledge of Houston is unsurpassed. He took us to all the amazing places in Houston, including famous parks, River Oaks, historic sites, landmarks, and an opportunity to admire the skyline and the architectural beauty of buildings and skyscrapers. I am grateful for Phil Stewart's wonderful tour of Houston. Our visit to Houston was perfect!

This small cluster of mid-century buildings are all that's left of this area of Cypress. The official park is open only 3 days a week, during the day, but if you get here when open you can take free tours of the buildings, including a historical house, old gas station, community hall, general store, barber shop and railroad station. If you visit outside of their weekday hours, just the park grounds are open for picnics, or photographs, etc. There are no playgrounds for the kids. Note, the railroad station is a modern building that has been painted to look like an old railroad station, and is actually the historical library. The library is also open every 3rd Saturday from 11-2. At the rear of the park, there are a picnic area, railroad station, restroom building and 3 smaller out-buildings. The actual grounds are decorated with turn of the century farm implements, a walking path with 1 park bench and a water fountain. The picnic area is nice and modern with a covered roof, several rubber coated picnic benches, a stainless steel sink and countertop with running water and a large smoker if you are cooking. The newest location of BB'S Cafe has opened up next door to the park, so if you're having a picnic, you'll likely be smelling fried seafood in the air from next door if the wind is blowing from the south.

In a city that is known for tearing down and paving over so much of our history, it is wonderful that this was saved and has been made into a place that visitors can visit and experience. I went with some friends from Kingwood on a Photo Walk of the area, we were lucky that the light and sound experience was still going on, each column in the cistern has LED lighting that changes to the tune of some aethereal music playing silently, the acoustics of the cistern make it sound so beautiful and mesmerizing. When you purchase your ticket online you choose one of the available times, upon entry they give you 30 minutes, the time passed quickly. Be ready if you are taking pictures or better yet, a video. Smart phones work great but you might consider turning off auto focus and just focusing manually if you know how because when it gets dark for a moment and then the lights come on most cameras auto focus has to search for focus so it goes in and out of focus. When you leave, there is a skateboard park up above and worth some time for taking pictures of the acrobatic skating going on.

The event was called Diner en Blanc an all white exclusive event, with pictures, food, live bands, fashion shows and more. Their catering was ok but for 100 pp for food is a hard no for me. The live band was very good, music for all age groups. Now our people forget what copy paper white looks like, they clearly said no off white, beige, cream, egg shell but they had all shades of whitish
