We need not have worried - room brilliant, view more so, and hosts Carla and John very welcoming. Bay House is big enough for guests and hosts to have sufficient space - while still maintaining a 'family' feel. Breakfast as big an event as you want it to be, and a great occasion for guests and hosts to share experiences and information. Food wonderful, and dinner/cream teas are available if required. Nevertheless the room was clean, bright and well appointed with everything we needed for our stay. And the water pressure in the shower was more than capable of knocking barnacles off of our day-weary wrecks of bodies! After taking a walk to Lizard Point we went back to the Inn for dinner, and we weren't disappointed. Both dishes were great, as was the sticky toffee pudding WE had for desert. I say WE, cus my wife pinched half of mine despite having her own ice cream! Getting ready to go down friend breakfast, will update this review shortly! Ok, so breakfast was fantastic. My wife had drop-scone pancakes with bacon and maple syrup, I had smoked Hake with two poached eggs, grilled tomato and mushrooms. I've never had Hake before so wasn't sure what to expect. I need ent have worried, it was beautiful, big flakes of smokey, flakey fish. The eggs were cooked to perfection as were the mushrooms and tomato. My wife's pancakes were light and fluffy and the bacon was just crispy - not over cooked! Would give the breakfast 10/10 and will definitely be on the lookout for Hake in the future!!

Good selection of food, a small but excellent Gin cocktail list ( the landlord advised me he's not a cocktail bar ) good cider and beer whatever your partial too. Also if you want to walk to the light house or walk the coastal path which starts 5 mins from this pub it's very convenient

Impressive looking hotel in great location overlooking Polurrian Cove on the Lizard. Owned (since…read moreMar '08) by the same family that runs the 4 star Treglos Hotel at Constantine Bay near Padstow, this is a friendly and informal hotel. It would seem that the Barlow family are still investing money in the Polurrain - perhaps to gain that extra star. At the time we were there, they were carrying out work improving the leisure suite - the hotel has indoor and outdoor pools as well as a pool table, jacuzzi, beauty treatment rooms etc. The food is plentiful and of a good standard (important) and is served in an attractive restaurant overlooking Mounts Bay. The adjacent bar has comfortable soft furnished sofas and armchairs or if you wish you can watch the sun go down over the horizon. The rooms are well appointed and well furnished and staff friendly and helpful. The coastal path runs close by and Polurrian Cove is about 10 minutes walk away. The cove has an excellent sandy beach and as the nearest public parking is some distance away it doesn't get too over crowded. It is, however, a fair climb back up to the hotel from the beach at the end of the day.
