These guys are great to deal with. The owner Susan is local and she told her shop has been around for 30 years. She is down to earth and no BS. Her knowledge is excellent and prices are reasonable. I ordered large pieces of granite for a new fireplace that was done in under a week. Originally I was picking it up in my truck but the pieces were too big so her guys delivered it for an extra charge but that was ok because it took 4 guys to get into the house. We decided that we wanted new countertops as our formica tops were really showing their age. We went to House of Stone and Dave helped us check out all their products out back. Everything was so beautiful! We went with granite and he sent a man to measure for kitchen counters as well as the main bathroom. He was prompt, friendly and professional. My wife and I are at the tail end of renovating our kitchen. When it came time for counters, we visited three places; 1) Lowe's - In order to see slabs we would have had to drive an hour and a half to a fabricator in NJ. 2) Local kitchen design place that partnered with a local fabricator - The process was very slow; first to the design place, then schedule an appointment with the fabricator, but the fabricator can't discuss pricing, have to wait for the design place to get back to us with pricing, then back to the fabricator again to review slabs, and on, and on. Don't get me wrong, the people were great, just the process was cumbersome. 3) House of Stone - We actually ended up going here last minute, straight from a visit to Lowe's, just 5 minutes down the road. It was a Saturday, they actually had closed already, but Dave was there and let us in, discussed our kitchen and plans, gave us some thoughts, and then showed us their slabs. We went home and thought about it for a few days. We went back, selected our slab of beautiful marble (we did tons of research on granite/marble/quartz), and just had them installed. The whole process was super easy, done in under 2 weeks beginning to end, and saved us about $2k over the other two places (roughly 45% savings actually, crazy). We absolutely recommend House of Stone. Simple process all under one roof, courteous people, great work, excellent prices. Really couldn't ask for more. read more

We used House of Stone when we bought our granite kitchen counter top from them in 2012. They were courteous, expedient and professional from start to finish. Fast forward to 2018. I was all over the place looking for a top for a bathroom vanity. Today, I went in and talked to the owner, Sue, who was awesome! She's down to Earth, honest, and FAIR. She helped me out a LOT. Would give zero stars if I could-deeply disappointed is an understatement!!! There is a large black streak in my ivory fantasy granite countertop-looks like someone spilled black paint on the counter in only one spot. What an eyesore-wish I could download a picture for all to see. It was clearly not the slab I had picked out. When I called them, they told me how lucky I was that my granite was one piece without a seam-would have preferred a seam any day over what I got. I asked if they would be OK with this granite in their kitchen-no response???? If the slab was flawed when they laid it out, they should have contacted me before they cut it, after all laying out granite is their business. I paid full price to depreciate the value of a brand new kitchen...and unless I want to rip it out and pay three grand to do it over, I'm stuck with it...buyer BEWARE. read more

I am so glad that I came here the other day. I was looking for a small piece of stone for a shampoo shelf in the bathroom. I hesitated to go there because I had mediocre experienced there years ago. But, I dropped by and Connie walked me back to the room where they had some leftover pieces. And, we found one. The next day they called me and it was perfect. More like House of Horrors. On the positive side we found an absolutely beautiful and unique piece of stone for our counter. On the negative side....everything else. The installer was HOURS LATE NO PHONE CALL. He was RUDE and ARROGANT as if he was doing me a favor. CALLS to the office went UNANSWERED. (Subsequently I found out that the owner fired the staff and took back over). Then they came to install the stone. They drove their truck across on my wet lawn right to my front door to bring the stone closer to the front door. This DESTROYED my front yard and left 70' of large tire tracks with deep ruts going from the street and right to my front door that had to be repaired. I know they brought the truck closer so they did not have to carry the stone but this was because they were TOTALLY UNPREPARED to make this delivery. It is only 40' from the driveway to the door. Maybe no one informed "House of Stoned" that stone is pretty heavy or that that the green fuzzy stuff in front of most all suburban homes is called "grass" and is not for off roading excursions. But it GETS WORSE. So two days later it's time to put the stainless steel sink in. As most people know, stainless steel sinks are very light weight, not "House of Stoned". The installer, who was LATE AGAIN, DROVE 70' ACROSS MY LAWN AGAIN and to the front door so he would not have to carry a 25 lb. sink 40' from the driveway. This was INCREDIBLY LAZY. The experience was over and I was glad to be done with House of Stone...so I thought. When we first started this project we explained we were putting in a new stove top. According to HD, Lowes and three very reputable appliance stores in the area, the minimum cut-out of almost all 30" stoves is 28.25".(Although the owner Sue believes she knows more that the appliance guys). House of Stone's cut out...drum roll please....27.9375". So we call the office and speak to someone. We explain the situation. They want to charge to correct the cut-out. OK, par for the course. So the guy who schedules the appointment lets me know the price and that the installer is coming to me on his own time. Code words for PAY ME DIRECTLY BEHIND THE OWNERS BACK and NO INSURANCE if I break something. House of Stone is out of control. No leadership or oversight, the monkeys are running the circus. POOR WORKMANSHIP, TERRIBLE WORK ETHIC, LACK OF INTEGRITY. Nice piece of stone though. read more

Second time using these guys, and just as satisfied as the first. 1st time they did a quartz job for 20% less than their nasty competitors right up the road wanted for granite. Setup guy / installer did top notch job. Just used them again for a small job, got the same good service even though little money involved. Will be using them again in the near future. read more

Called House of Stone at 2PM because our undermount sink had become detached and fallen completely through our counter (installed by another company). They had someone at my house by 5PM fixing the problem. The "fix" wasn't a temporary job or a hack job - they actually bolted the sink to the quartz countertop using double the amount of clips of the other company, in addition to the adhesive in multiple spots. Our sink is finally fixed after 4 years of seeing it drop more and more! The man who came out was SO pleasant and worked hard the entire time he was here. I am SO impressed. Deserves zero stars. I ordered a Caesarstone counter. They tried to install a cheap knockoff brand. Owner screamed at me and insisted it was real Caesarstone, but I found a sticker on the quartz slab that said "MSI" -- a much cheaper product. Owner then said he would refund my deposit. After 3 weeks he still owes me $500 and isn't returning my emails. read more
