Here's what he didn't discover, the roof was repaired with the wrong shingles and we had major water damage from the roof down to the basement. He also missed the (active) termite damage from a colony our exterminator estimated was about 10 years old. A waste stack with a three foot crack. A water heater that was vented between the disintegrating chimney liner and the mortar (we were red-tagged) A chimney that leaked into the attic ceiling and had to have extensive repairs. These are the standouts. There's more that was missed by Tri County. Starting with year one we have put (conservatively) $35000 into a house we would not have purchased if Tri County had given us the information for which we paid. Tri County hounded us for months to post a review, well, here it is.

We used another company for a previous house that we were under contract for, and my post-inspection regrets were that I didn't walk around with the inspector, and the report was difficult to read. Well, I took that to heart and went with Mike throughout the whole house, the roof, and even the crawlspace. Mike was very informative though the whole 4.5 hour process and happily answered my seemingly endless barrage of questions, while giving helpful information along the way, such as requiring grippable railings required after 3 or more steps. He even took a picture of our awful shed roof for the report! In addition, we have an oddly placed electrical panel that needed a second look, and the garage was filled with the previous owners' stuff. Mike offered to come back to complete the inspection if the previous owners could get it cleared out. His report was just as detailed as the inspection, with arrows pointing exactly to the problem within the pictures, and different ways of scaling the size of damage in his pictures. Each paragraph was accompanied by a color scale of how serious the issue was, and he even pointed out things that were good, rather than just the doom and gloom. Overall, it was a great experience and I highly recommend YourPrivateEyeInspections for home inspections. I still go back to the report and my notes to make the DIY suggested repairs.

It took over three months and was supposed to be done in less than a week. The first crew that the owner sent made such a big mess!!! So we had told the owner so he sent us someone else. Then when she shows up all she does is talk about why she couldn't make it or talk about her boss Who owed her so much money and has no idea what he's doing. She would be on my phone all day with him yelling outside on my patio all I could think of what my neighbors would think! How embarrassing but the next embarrassment was inside my house and when people came to see the process. Our family members were like what are you paying them for you could have done a better job ( which I could) there was paint all over every outlet in four bedrooms, paint on every ceiling fan, also on all the blinds! They scratched my brand-new hardwood floors!! Paint splatter marks all over the TV and floors. Oh and don't forgot every single hinge on every single door was coated in paint!! I had to fix something in every room! The best part is they didn't even finish the job! I will attach a pictures of the process.
