I can't even begin to tell you how amazing Sam House is! Sam was the DJ for our wedding and he truly made a word of difference!!!! First of all, his level of professionalism is off the charts. He called me and walked me through the plans for the wedding day and asked me what I wanted. If there was something I didn't know, he offered me advice and told me what options I had. I truly couldn't have done this without him. Then in a turn of events, my husband dislocated his knee during our money dance. Sam handled the incident with such professionalism. He kept people dancing and helped make the rest of the night run smoothly even though we had to change a lot of things at the last minute. DJ Sam House rocked my friend's over-the-top wedding at the Parker Palm Springs. His DJ set up in the ballroom was beautiful. His equipment included his DJ booth, up lighting, PA system, etc. People were out of their minds with joy dancing to his DJ set! I can't thank him enough for coming. It was really nice to have a solid experienced DJ entertaining guests in the ballroom. I love that I didn't need to worry about a thing with him in there raising the roof. I wanted to make sure to give Sam a review so everyone could potentially make the great decision I did and hire him for their event. It should be proof positive that he is stellar considering that I got married 10 months ago, and still made sure I finally found time to post a review. My wedding went off excellently, and it's in no small part, thanks to Sam. He played the tunes we asked for, he was great on the fly changing playlists he had planned as needed throughout the night. My Uncle is also a professional singer, and was perfectly at home working with Sam throughout the night intermittently performing live songs that were special to us, and made all of our guests have an extra special and unique experience. Planning a wedding can be stressful, my goal was to keep things simple and easy. Honestly, hiring a DJ was last on my list and we even considered not having one at all. Our venue, Happy Trails Catering, recommended Sam, so I thought I'd check his website out and see. Boy am I glad I did. He has a great website that explains everything and gives you an instant quote, that alone was a huge plus since most of the websites I had seen had no information or prices. I liked that you can go to the site get lots of info and get a price for exactly what you need. So I got my quote and was even happier to find that he had great rates (very important to a bride on a budget!), I still wasn't sure about hiring him so I called him and within 5 minutes of our conversation I knew he was perfect for our wedding. This is why, Sam has a way of making you feel like you have known him forever, like he is an old friend that you called to catch up with. He is easy to talk to, funny and very personable at the same time being very professional about what he does, so right away I thought he is exactly the type of person I want DJ'ing our wedding, so I hired him. Fast forward to the wedding day. It was a perfect day all around but I must say having Sam there made it even better. He kept things running smoothly throughout the day, working with my other vendors and us making sure to do things as we had planned. The music was perfect, we got compliments on the music during cocktail hour and dinner. I was very happy. The best part was when the dancing began, we had a small wedding and I wasn't sure if any of our guests would even dance when the time came. Sam did it, I don't know how but he got them all dancing, cousins and aunts that I had never seen dance before were out there having a blast, it was great! The music was perfect and Sam was great at knowing what to play to keep the party going. I loved looking over and seeing Sam with his headphones on doing his thing and seeing everyone having so much fun, even the venue staff in the kitchen dancing as they worked with huge smiles. I was out in Cali for a wedding and the people got Dj Sam House to do the music and he was really good. He is the best dj in LA California. And theres tons of djs there so its hard to be the best. The only problem is the old people wanted to hear classic music and they were paying for everything so he could not play the good music that most normal people like. But he has really good mixers and speakers and dresses however you want him to. I was talking with him alot and I want him to DJ at a party for me this summer so I know how the whole thing works and he can play any kind of music. read more

Sam DJ'd our wedding yesterday! He is a consummate professional, his website is full of wedding planning tips, and he had 99% of my chosen songs in his catalog and got whatever else I wanted. He was always available by phone and email and helped with my occasional wedding planning-related anxiety attack. As for the wedding, he played all my songs just at the right times, was super friendly to everyone, and he gave me veto power over some dubious song requests. He did a phenomenal job at integrating our favorite tunes into his recommended playlist, and he was a terrific MC - he kept the party moving without being intrusive. Everyone was dancing! Even my 20-something kids got over being terminally cool and got out on the dance floor. And he figured out the perfect time and music for our cake cutting, bouquet toss and garter throw, and even found Elvis's Hawaiian wedding song for one of my best friends to do a surprise hula to. Sam is an awesome person to work with. We used him for our wedding. He is very technology savvy and his website makes it so easy to create a personalized event. You can hand select all your songs, even songs you don't want to hear. Or if you prefer you can just give him a specific style of music and he can create it. He played everything we requested. He was good a ordering the songs to keep people dancing. We also used him to set up microphones/speakers for our ceremony/cocktail hour. He was very professional and took care of all our needs. We hired Sam to be the DJ for our daughter's Bat Mitzvah and he had MC Tre work with him. We could not have asked for a better team! Sam did an excellent job with the music selection and Tre kept all the kids (and adults) entertained and dancing. Everyone had a wonderful time and I received lots of compliments about Sam and Tre. Sam did an excellent job of up-lighting the room as the theme was "Under the Sea". He also added some lighting for the dance floor. The overall effect was perfect. Part of the reason for hiring Sam was his professionalism and making sure that we were comfortable throughout the whole process. He has an excellent website that helps with planning from two years out, to the day before the event. It was very helpful and cut down on some of the stress. His pricing is excellent and high quality. He did a great job with showing the video montage of our daughter that we had created and worked with us to try and avoid any technical difficulties. DJ Sam House was the MC/DJ for our wedding this summer. He was GREAT! We did one of his packages that also came with lighting (which was very well-done). During the planning stages he had a huge list of songs for us to choose from, and we could send him any other special/custom songs we wanted played as well. He had a schedule with every moment/event and what music we wanted to play at that time. It really helped us organize our wedding day and made it run smoothly. On the day-of he worked with our videographer, officiant, and caterer to make sure the sound and music worked perfectly. We used Sam as our DJ/MC for our wedding this May and he was great. I live on the East Coast and planned everything from there and Sam was more than professional and accommodating to meet and speak with us at the drop of a hat when we were in town. We had Sam's sidekick Phil as our DJ and we couldn't have been happier with how it all went. Firstly the onsite process to select your songs and submit the timeline etc is a useful tool. There was great communication along the way on the day where Phil checked with us at each stage to ensure all the 'events' throughout the evening (cake cutting, first dance etc) ran on schedule and followed exactly what we requested. I am quite shy, but he was able to make me feel comfortable in a crowd proving to make my day very special for me. BRIDES AND GROOMS BE WARE!!! We hired DJ Sam House for our wedding and paid the 50% deposit. Unfortunately, we had to postpone our wedding 6 weeks due to unforeseen cirucumstances. DJ Sam told us that our deposit was non-reufndable. Fine, but what I didn't expect to hear from him was that our deposit was NON-TRANSFERRABLE (which the contract did not state), and that he considered our postponement a "cancellation". We have lost hundreds of dollars to this crook!!!! Oh! I almost forgot to tell you, he told us his rates have gone up (in the 4 weeks since we hired him), but offered his DJ services to us on the new date of our wedding at the price we had originally agreed on, BUT we would have to start all over, sign a new contract and pay yet ANOTHER deposit! I'm in accounting, after paying TWO deposits and the remaining balance, we would be paying MORE than what his "increased rate" would have been! I don't think so DJ Sam..... read more

He nailed everything we left up to his discretion.
