The place is in a discreet area of Gurnee that really isn't easy to find. When you walk in, it's just as you'd expect, a small waiting area with a business desk. The fun happens when you go through the waiting area and into the main gym. The area is simple for effective. There are tons of fun toys to get your sweat on and as basic as it gets. This is quite simply a gym with no unnecessary frills. The decor is obviously military themed and that gets 5 stars alone for me. The staff and it's members are extremely friendly and helpful. The class itself was a test to one's physical ability yet catered to each persons strengths. I can see people being reluctant to try Crossfit, but this place obviously cares and wants members as they treated the free class members like they were longtime regulars. I'm definitely considering switching to this type of gym when my membership expires at my current gym.

So happy to be here for a couple of months. First, they are very accommodating to your needs. Since I am a short-timer, my payments and sign-on is different than most. Not a problem at all. Jennifer is so nice and welcoming. I have actually had nothing but great experiences will all the trainers. I wish I had more time here! I have found all levels and abilities in the classes. Makes it better for people like me who are just getting into it or back at it. The box area itself is great. The layout is awesome and plenty of room. Love the music played and WODs have been kicking my arse (LOVE!). Great location too. Just minutes away from the YMCA and centrally located in Kenosha. Great for a drop-in or sign up and try it for four months! You get a week to try it out and see if you like it before you commit fully. I highly recommend you do this. On top of that, the members are friendly and motivating, the music usually pretty good (as far as CrossFit music goes), schedules very accessible, and the rates are very reasonable. I also think the lighting is very good. Some gyms have those awful fluorescent lights which give me a headache. But this gym has something else, which -- no joke -- makes everyone look more attractive and yet does not contribute to my migraines. Too good to be true? Well, there are things they could work on. I can't think of more than one right now. Which is that they don't have a place to refill your water bottle, aside from a bathroom sink. But if that's the worst thing about this place... For some perspective, I've been doing Xrossfit since 2013 and have worked out all over the country.

This is no longer just a CrossFit gym but the new owners have done an incredible job incorporating so much more. Yoga, Pilates, boot camps to name a few! I've tried all of Kenosha's camps, bootcamps, crossfits... this by far is my absolute FAVORITE! This is my safe place. A place where I can get an INCREDIBLE workout, have fun and NEVER feel judged. I think the programs offered here at HPC are so very well structured and did I mention fun!?! They are not spilling out a bunch of direction like most bootcamps I know and expecting you to follow thru. They take you step bye step and stay with you thru the entire process encouraging you along the way. I feel as if I am a part of a team and as comfortable as when I'm with my own family. I can go on for days but my recommendation would be to give this place a try! It is motivating when someone has the confidence in you that you can do it when you might not think you can.
