When I first got back into the gym, post-covid, out-of-shape, I loved the concept of Orangetheory…read moreand was excited to try it. However, my body was not prepared for the intensity of the workouts. The treadmill running was particularly tough on an old foot injury. The instructors absolutely offered modifications to ease my foot woes, but my competitive nature didn't want to participate if I couldn't go all out. Fast forward 2 years later, I'm in much better shape physically and I decided to give it another go. The biggest challenge for me this time wasn't the workout itself, but rather to acknowledge my own limitations, resist my competitive nature, & heed alternatives to running - like walking on an incline OR using the strider. I enjoyed Orangetheory so much more this go-around, it's truly a great full body workout. I personally love the built-in variety, since you will always rotate between rowing, strength and treadmill work. If your goal is to maximize your one-hour at the gym, enjoy a mix of cardio & strength training, and burn a ton of calories, Orangetheory will deliver results. My husband has been a member at this location since it was Gold's gym, and I joined not long after…read moreit changed over to Club Fitness. He was told he had access to kids clubs with his basic membership and I paid to have the second tier so I also had access to kids club. Since 2021 we've been taking our kids here to kids club, as well as the club fitness in another state when we lived there. Ever since it updated to Club elite, we've had issues scanning into the kids club area. They let us in, we scanned in to drop our kids off and went to work out. Now notice, we've dropped our kids off TWICE since the switch and nobody has said anything. Today I asked at the front desk why my membership wasn't allowing me in and was told it's because we don't have access to kids club. Even though they very clearly had our kids info in their system and allowed us to drop them off, but apparently they said they have no record of us ever having access? And we used to drop my oldest daughter off multiple times a week prior to the transition to Elite. Their answer was that they could upgrade us to the next tier. The price? Double what we currently pay monthly. Or we could reach out to their customer support as if that's going to do anything. So apparently loyalty means absolutely nothing. My husband and I will be switching to a new gym just on the principle, at the very least if you're going to remove access it needs to be communicated with your members

This is my first pilates class so I don't have anything to compare it to but I enjoy the workout…read moreand the instructor is the owner, who is fun. I stretch in places I never thought I needed to and workout areas that normally do not get moved around that much. All of this is done without "breaking" me. It is a warm and inviting environment as I am NOT in shape but I have been here 5 times and have felt improvement each time I come. They have a deal for new people which is crazy good so it is worth at least giving a try. They are in the same building as "Just Dancing." TLDR: Worth at least trying. A non-judgmental environment. Good teacher. Off of Manchester near old Staples building near 141.

One day last month, I randomly decided to just DO SOMETHING. Anything! And I found Just Pilates STL. I was intimidated signing up, because I had no idea what I was getting myself into. The inner (and outer, lol) chubby kid within me hates working out around others, but I thought I'd give it a go. Immediately upon walking in the studio for the first time, Natalie greeted me with a huge smile and loads of encouragement. She helped me realize it's okay to meet your body where it's at, and you don't have to be perfect right away...you just have to try. I have never felt so at home so quickly, where I'm welcomed and wanted. Each class since, I am greeted with that same enthusiasm, both from Natalie and the other classmates. We all share one goal: healthy movement. Nobody in the class is trying to outdo you, they're focused on themselves! If you're like me, and you do not like being perceived while working out, but you also hate going to the gym...this is for you. I promise it is NOT scary whatsoever, it is probably the thing I am most grateful for finding in 2025. Thank you Natalie and crew, I am so so grateful for you and this studio!!!!
