This was my first time to Gießen, and our local host suggested this hotel. From the web pics of the outside I was expecting a rustic lodge - dated furniture, probably not even Wi-fi! My jaw dropped when we went inside. This is a super modern, loft style boutique hotel. Super clean and comfortable room, although I must say that having a bathtub in the MIDDLE OF THE ROOM is a bit odd!! From conversation with my coworker who also stayed there apparently this is not the case for every room. The staff was accommodating, but there was no one working the desk at 5:45 am when we had to leave - they were just showing up, so I don't know what is the case if you need something in the middle of the night. Maybe I missed shifts or something. In any case a very nice stay. No coffee in the room, however. In my book that is a standard one star deduction. read more
