This was my first time to Hotel Walhy and definitely won't be my last!! We were in NYC for only 19 hours, and at the first sight of Hotel Walhy I wanted to extend my stay indefinitely! Located on a semi-quiet tree lined street this hotel was just what my friend Uncle Fudge and I were looking for. The check in process was virtually seamless and upon arrival we were promptly greeted with the sweet sounds of Swedish House Mafia, a 16oz Coors Light, a slice of pizza and a hug. Our room was modern but the exposed brick wall gave it a classically timeless feeling and the twin size areobed was blown up just to my liking. The televisions were recently upgraded and I was pleasantly surprised to find that the channel was preset to animal planet; there was a special on humming birds (Uncle Fudge's favorite bird). The lobby of Hotel Walhy is beautifully lined in marble with narrow but not restricting hallways and the elevator, although a little slow, couldn't have been nicer. Connected to the lobby is what looked like a delicious ethnic restaurant and next to that is what Uncle Fudge called a "svingy night club". In all aspects of human life, Hotel Walhy is the place you want to shack your dome when visiting NYC and like they say "Its Hotel Walhy's world, were just living in it". BOOM! read more
