We stayed at this hotel for only one night in Mosel valley region. The room was very clean & overall standard was good but we went around in the Cochem city center( the center of Mosel region) right by Mosel river with the view over the vineyards & the river itself & found out that a room there would cost about the same as they charged at this little hotel in a tiny remote village with only their own restaurant in the area where we had lunch and as we found out later, they charged us around 80% more than the waterfront restaurants in downtown which we didn't appreciate so much! All the small toiletries in the bathroom (like the little lotion & sleepers) that you get in most hotels were chargeable! The breakfast was really fresh full of choices & amazing but everything was put in so small amount for all guests on the table that we had to ask for more ham. The yoghurt that was put there for everyone was practically one small breakfast bowl. The check in & check out was also unusually late/ early. Check out is by 10 and my request for later check out was rejected. I mean how could you manage to eat breakfast & check out both between 8-10 ?! It's a very tasteful place & they care about their hotel but it's really overpriced comparing with other guest houses in the area & my stars are mostly for the quality of their breakfast. read more
