We were right above the newly opened restaurant and stairs for the bathrooms which were right next door. Slamming doors and people talking in the hallway all night. If you book with Blaue Ecke make sure they don't put you in their shitty sister hotel down the street. Their breakfast was decent, though not the best of the trip. We also had to walk all the way from the Zum Wilden Schwein to the Blaue Ecke as our building didn't have any staff or amenities. I'm posting this review for both locations because of how they screwed us on our booking and that the hotels are essentially one and the same (the Zum Wilden Schwein is just additional rooms, office and staff are all at Blaue Ecke).

Beds were comfortable and had plug sockets in very use to reach/use places. We were here to race around the Nurburgring so didn't make use of any other facilities apart from to sleep. If you want to park your car in their garage, it's €20 a night but there is a free car park across the road which was fine. They did have scaffolding outside the front of the hotel which was fine until the morning that we were leaving-they started to dismantle it very early which was crazy as it must of woken people up who were staying on the from of the hotel. A decent stay none the less.

Super cool Hotel directly on the Nürburgring GP track. The…read morerooms are cozy, a bit small, but good equipped. If you're lucky you can get one with a balcony facing the Track! I had the feeling they try to keep it a bit High end! There's a really cool bar with lots of posters, signed all over, some memorabilia and really cool bar stools. The hallway is full of pictures, you get the feeling you're in a museum. If you're into Motorsport and visit the Ring, this is the place to stay. Overall a good hotel, with good service, a bit expensive though! The breakfast buffet is the best i've ever had in Europe. Also as i was there, the Restaurant was full of racing drivers, (that weekend was a Porsche Driving School event) I can imagine on F1 week this must be just awesome. The only thing i couldn't understand is how such a nice & expensive Hotel didn't have free Wifi, shame on you Dorint! I don't know if that has changed since i was there for the last time, but if not it's really embarrassing after what you pay here. I can't stop getting angry about that and Card acceptance in Europe.

The house specialty is a steak on a hot stone. Cook it (or don't) as long as you'd like. Mine was buttery and delicious, and probably still mooing a little as it entered my mouth--as it should be. I'm sure they're more than used to tourists by now--they understood my English grunting, pointing and nodding just fine--and I really nerded out to all the awesome stuff on the walls. Seriously, you could spend a day just staring at random racing memorabilia on the walls. It's beyond fantastic.
